With today being V.E Day I made this card to commemorate the day on which Allied Forces formally announced the surrender of Germany, which brought the Second World War to a close in Europe.
I used a 4 x 4 inch card blank and die-cut a slightly smaller white matt and mounted this on black card to leave a fine black border. . I dug out an old rubber stamp of a ration book (Stampattack) and stamped this onto Kraft board from re-cycled packaging in Archival black ink. It was trimmed out.
The UK flag was stamped (Artemio) in red and blue Memento ink on white card and this was trimmed out also. The word 'Remember' (TPC Studio) was stamped in Verafine black ink on white card, trimmed out and matted on black card.
I then stamped the V.E. Day using a set of Alpha stamps directly onto the white matt in Verafine black Ink. I then assembled the card as shown with the flag, word and white matt on foam pads. Quite clean and simple really !
