Wonderland .....

Here is the last 4 x 4 inch Decorated Square of a 12 month swap over on UK Stampers Forum ..... gosh the year has gone very quickly .....

I used a base of recycled cereal packaging, covered with some printed paper and black glitter card.  I then stamped and die-cut some snowy fir trees which I treated to a dousing of Glamour Dust glitter before applying on foam pads.

The words are on a fabric strip and I have added some silver sequins for shine.  Finally stamped the January in Archval black ink and edged the swuare with turquoise Versamagic chalk ink to finish.

Imagine ....

Made a 6 x 4 inch mailart postcard using the Distress Oxide on glossy photo paper technique !

The colours do end up being very vibrant and the glossy paper makes a good stamping ground.  This has been made for a swap on UK Stampers Forum and will travel 'naked' through the post !

Year of the Pig .....

Firstly, belated Happy, Healthy & Prosperous New Year to everyone ... not had chance to say so until now !

This year's Chinese New Year in February is the year of the Pig ..... recently we visited Japan and went to a temple where they were selling these fine ceramic commemorative bells.  They are matt red and are hand painted with some gold leaf embellishment and contain a small ceramic ball inside.

Just love the stylish design and the little black wooden stand and wooden plaque that complete the set.
