House .....

Made a little fantasy house with dies and decoration .....

I cut the basic shapes from 300gsm white card and painted with matte acrylic paint in lilac and grey. I then started to decorate the walls.....

I stamped with an arrow and chevron stamp in sepia and purple Archival inks adding some torn strips of Washi tape. I then used Posca pens in black and purple to add frames for the windows and tiles for the roof.

I edged the corners and base of the house with scattered straw Distress ink. I then added some adhesive cabochons and pale green word stickers. Finishing touch was to add Glossy Accent dots on the tiles and added purple micro-beads to add some texture .....

Journal ......

Decided to make a Passport Journal using an Eileen Hull Sizzix Die (inspired by Corrie Herriman)......

I used re-cycled packaging card as the base for the front Covers. I then applied some texture paste through a stencil. This was allowed to dry before painting with pigment mica powders in greens and blues using an acrylic fixing medium to make paint which I applied with a brush. The side front and back panels were covered in more Gel Prints.

The spine was cut from white card and also painted in a similar fashion. The covers were then applied to the spine (I only used a single thickness for one signature of 4 double white card pages within). I then edged the panels with gold embossing powder and Versamark ink, melting with a heat gun. I also applied some gold Krylon pen to the raised diamonds.

I then stamped the front and back panels with some AAll & Create stamps and Archival inks in Sepia and dark blue. I then stamped a couple of feather stamps on a Gelli Print background in Versafine black ink. Trimmed these out and applied as shown with gloss gel medium.

The signature consists of 4 double pages (to be decorated later) and is held in place with some gold-covered elastic thread from the inside and tied firmly in a bow on the outside. I finished the journal with some white Posca pen lines and a little metal clip to hold the journal closed.

Really enjoyed making this and will be making more no doubt ......

Relaxation ......

Made a little decorated box for a Challenge over on UK Stampers Forum (click link to go there) where you are to make 'Anything But A Card' .....

I used the Gelli plate to make a background with Neocolour watersoluble wax pastels with lots of water on 300gsm white card .... not tried this medium before but was really happy with the result ....

I die-cut the box top from this and cut an aperture to be able to see inside the box. I edged the aperture with a gold Posca pen.

The base was die-cut from white card and painted internally with turquoise acrylic paint. I stamped some stars in black Versafine ink.

The internal floral decoration was stamped on watercolour card and coloured with watercolours before trimming elements out for layering. I then used a black Micron pen to add details and added the pieces on foam pads at different levels within the box base.

A material flower was centred with a brad and added as shown adding a little purple Stickles glitter glue to its centre. I then stamped the sentiment 'Rest and Relaxation', trimmed out and again mounted on foam pads to finish the box ......

There is a fabulous prize of stamps for the winner of the Challenge and all you have to do is upload a photo of your make to the Forum. You need to join first ..... link at the beginning of the post .....

Thanks ......

Made this CAS (Clean And Simple) card recently ....

I used a 6 x 6 inch square white card blank as the base. The coloured panel was made using a Gelli plate and Dahlia stencils with Distress Oxide inks in Wilted Violet, Wild Honey, Candied Apple & Worn Lipstick and printed on copier paper.

This was trimmed out and applied to a base of black cardstock to leave a border. The flower was centred with a black glossy adhesive dot.

The sentiment was stamped in black Versafine ink directly onto the card and the coloured dahlia panel applied as shown on foam pads .....

Square .....

Made a mail-art postcard for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum .....

I have used a piece of re-cycled packaging as a base and a piece of white card as the background. I used Distress inks and brayered the background adding a waterspray to spread. Once dry I added some squares through a stencil which were edged with Inktense pencil and activated with a waterbrush. I then stamped inside the squares with  a fossil stamp in sepia Archival and a leaf stamp in green Archival adding a little white Posca highlight..

I then added some watercolour pad spine waste with copper heat embossing as shown along with a few stencilled lines in red and brown.

The sentiment was added and edged with black Micron pen along two edges. I then finished by edging the card with brown Versamagic chalk ink. Thiswas treateed with a matt acrylic sealer as it will travel through the post 'naked' ......

I have also entered this into the Country View Crafts Challenge whose subject is 'Squares' ....

Dressed ......

A card made for Less Is More Challenge for January .......

I used a Lynn Parella stamp and used Memento black ink, trimming out the image for applying later. Next I made a smooshed Distress Ink background using speckled egg and victorian velvet along with a water spray. This was die-cut and the main image glued in place.

I then used a variety of metallic and Posca pens and watercolour with Distress Inks. The image was edged with grey Inktense pencil and a waterbrush to add a shadow and depth to the image.

I selected a printed sentiment and coloured this in a similar fashion to the background and layered onto black card.

The panel and sentiment were added on foam pads as shown to finish the card....
