With Autumn in full swing it's nice to see some florals in pastel colours to brighten up those darker days, so I made this card.
I started with a decal edge cream card (11 x 15 cm). All inks used on this card are Memento and I first stamped the crackle effect background (Hampton Art) on white card by selectively inking with various colours which were dandelion, Bahama blue, pear tart, potters clay, London fog & lilac posies.
I then used cut'n'dry foam and the same colurs to shade the white card.
When complete I matted this twice on dark pink and purple textured card.
The flowers were stamped in a similar way using the same colours of Memento and were then trimmed out and edged with black ink. The centres of the flowers were embellished with some blue faux jewel mesh which was cut down and applied with Glossy Accents. The petals were shaped to add dimension.
Once the position of the flowers was decided I applied two stems and some leaves made from fine green grosgrain ribbon applied on thin double sided tape as shown before mounting the flowers on foam pads.
The word plate stamp (Woodware) was inked in Memento Tuxedo Black and stamped on white card and coloured with the same inks. This was matted on some cream card and applied on foam pads to finish.
I think the pastel colours create an almost watercoloured effect.
This card fits the requirements for the
Craft Stamper Magazine 'Take It - Make It' Challenge for October which wants entrants to use the multicoloured stamping technique featured in the November edition of the magazine.
