Butterfly .....

Made a card using mainly Indigo Blu stamps ....

The white card base is 6 x 6 inches square.....

The Focal butterfly was stamped on white cardstock with Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. It was then trimmed out losing its antennae ! I then coloured it with Twinkling mica H2O's and it has a shine although it has not photographed well.

The background is a piece of violet card stamped with a poppy background stamp in sepia Archival ink. I then also stamped in Versafine black in with a vine border. I selectively coloured the poppy I vine with chalk pens and a pink Distress Oxide wash. Splashing with white paint. Two pieces of Washi tape were added at the sides and I used watered down white gesso to knock back the edges. The background was matted onto black card.

The sentiment was stamped in Versafine black ink, trimmed out and matted onto pink card.

The butterfly was then applied as shown on foam pads to raise the wings and antenna drawn in with a black Posca pen. The sentiment was applied as shown on more foam pads. The background was then applied to the card base to finish .....

Wo doesn't love a butterfly ....
