Merry-Go-Round.....

Made a die-cut box with a Merry-go-Round theme in orange, yellow & turquoise......

I cut the box (3.5 x 4.5 inches) with dies from white card and then used a variety of printed paper to decorate it. I have trimmed out some elements and used sequins (yellow & turquoise) and Stickles glitter glue to embellish. The bunting was mounted in the background on foam pads.

The words have been stamped on white card in Versafine Ink, trimmed out and edged in more black ink.

I have used orange spotty grosgrain and turquoise satin ribbon and tied this through.

Juicy .....

A 'Fruity' greetings card ....

I started with a 5 x 5 inch white card blank. I then cut a circular matt out of more white card. Directly onto this I stamped a pear (A Stamp In The Hand) and then stamped again on more white card.

I used Watercolour Brushpens to colour both pears and once finished trimmed out the second one. I used a scalpel to remove the trapped white card from the pear. The round matt (with its coloured pear) was matted onto green card and the second pear applied on foam pads as shown. The green matt was then applied to the card blank.

The sentiment (A Stamp In The Hand) was stamped on white card in Versafine black ink, trimmed around and mounted at an angle on more foam pads to finish.

Life Happens .....

I recently found a set of Colorbox chalk inks and wanted to make a card using these as they dry with a matt finish and are quite pastel in colours.

I took a 5 x 5 inch square white base and die-cut a smaller matt in more white card. I then used a number of stamps (Dina Wakley) and a selection of the Chalk inks to stamp onto the white matt, mixing colours and overstamping. Just one image was stamped in Versafine black ink.

I used a black Posca pen to highlight parts of some of the numbers and edged the matt with mauve chalk ink.

The sentiment ( Hot Off The Press) was stamped in dark pink chalk ink on a piece of pink check paper in Versamark ink which was then heat embossed with fine clear embossing powder. This was matted onto some mauve card. The finished panel was applied to the cardblank and the sentiment added on foam pads to finish.

Liking the matt finish and have now used those long unused chalk inks too !

Daisies .....

A simple but effective tag ....

I cut a piece of white card to 2.5 x 6 inches and rounded the corners with a corner-rounder. Onto this base I applied  a number of torn pieces of blue tissue paper with white spots.

The rubber daisy stamps were then stamped onto the base in Versafine black ink and these were coloured with turquoise watercolour using a watercolour brushpen. I drew in black stems with a micron pen. Some yellow Stickles glitter glue was applied to the daisy centres. The sentiment was stamped in Versafine black ink'

I added three blue adhesive pearls and edged the tag in turquoise Versamagic chalk ink. I then chose some thin ribbon, punched a hole at the top of the tag and tied the ribbon through to finish.

Clean and simple ....

Made a collaged 'Love You' greetings card today ....

I started with a 7 x 5 inch white card blank. I then die-cut a piece of printed paper in the theme and this was matted onto a slightly larger piece of pale green card.

I then stamped a pair of lips with themed dye inks three times in orange, green and red. These wre edged with Posca pens in matching colours. trimmed out and then glazed with glossy accents.

I then stamped the word 'You' on white card in Versafine black and this was trimmed out to leave a border. The 'I Love' was also stamped on white card, trimmed out and edged in red ink.

A piece of thin red velvet ribbon was then applied on double sided tape as shown. The words and lips were then applied on foam pads as shown. Three red adhesive hearts were added to embellish and the finished matt was applied to the card base on more foam pads.

Feathers .....

Wanted to make a tag so made this one ....

I took a white card tag base and rounded the corners with a punch. I then collaged some home-made torn paper and blue spotty tissue.

The feathers were stamped on a piece of old re-cycled dictionary paper in Archival black ink and tore these around the edges. They were coloured with contrasting watercolour brush pens before adhering as shown.

I stamped some chevrons in blue Brilliance ink and arrows in Versafine black ink. I edged the tag with the same blue Brilliance ink. The printed sentiment was added and a piece of blue sari silk was tied through the hole in the tag to finish.

I die-cut a 5 x 5 inch matt in black card as the base. I then die-cut three inksplats from coloured card, highlighted with white Posca pen and coated with Glossy Accents.

The black matt was then stamped with a 'splash' stamp in Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The black matt was applied to the card blank and once dry, the three inksplats were arranged onto the black matt as shown, one on foam pads for relief.
