Nourish ......

Made a card with a set of AAll & Create stamps......

I started with a 5 x 7 inch white card blank and a pink watercoloured background and used the stamps inked in sepia & red Archival and Versafine black inks. I added some stencilled dots with white acrylic paint and added elements with Posca markers, torn old bookpaper and fineliner.

I layered the main stylised flower on foam pads and chose a ballerina paperdoll coloured with Copic marker on foam pads & grounded on Washi tape and added the words as shown.

The watercolour matt was then edged with gold embossing powder on Versamark ink. I then matted this on orange card before adhering to the card blank to finish ....

Pink......

Made a Birthday card .......

I took a 7 x 5 inch white card base. I cut a piece of watercolour paper and coloured this with grey Brusho applied in layers.

I then chose a set of Hampton Arts stamps and stamped these directly onto the watercolour matt in black Versafine Ink. I coloured these with Posca markers. I stamped a border stamp and infilled with white pen, adding three pink sequins and matting on black card before applying to the card as shown.

The card was finished by stamping the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment in more Versafine black ink.

Fantasy .....

Another card made with a Brusho background on watercolour paper ....

I used a white 6 x 4 inch card blank and cut a piece of watercolour paper slightly smaller. Now time to get messy .....

I first wet the watercolour paper with water from an spray bottle and then sprinkled Brusho crystals in Violet, Sea Green & Turquoise allowing the colours to develop.  I used a waterbrush to spread the colour to suit and when happy dried with a heat gun.

I then stamped the card with a couple of silhouette fairy stamps and some 'heart' grass using Versafine Onyx Black ink and dried with the heat gun.  I then used a white Posca marker to make highlights as if to mimic a moonlit scene.  The apertures in the wings were glittered with crystal Stickles and some spots in Posca and in Stickles added.

To finish I edged with more Posca , sprayed with acrylic sealer and stuck the design onto the card blank adding a stamped sentiment edged in black on foam pads.

Lovebirds ......

Made a mail-art postcard for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum Facebook Group .....

I made the background out of watercolour paper which I coloured with Brushos !  I stamped directly onto the background a house and some stylised trees and edged the card with a dotty border with Archival ink.  Some Posca work was done to enhance.

The birds (PaperArtsy by Jofy) were stamped on card and coloured with watercolour brush markers, trimmed out and firmly adhered to the background.  The words and hearts were stamped directly and the hearts coloured with Posca marker to finish !

This will travel directly through the post as it is so I gave it a liberal spray with matt acrylic lacquer to seal and protect.

April Square .....

We have a Monthly swap between 12 of our members over on UK Stampers Forum where we swap a handmade 4 x 4 inch square with one of the group.  It runs for 12 months  so we each get a square made by another member.

This is my square for April ......  I used a set of Dylusion stamps and stamped some on Brusho coloured watercolour paper (birds) and the rest on white card (flowers & leaves)  I trimmed all elements out and painted the flowers & leaves with Twinkling H2O's so they have a lovely mica sheen !

The square was cut from used cereal packet card (trying to upcycle) and was covered with some green birdcage design paper and some layers of Washi tape.

The 'April' was stamped in Archival ink before assembly as shown and then I applied all elements along with a couple of die-cut feathers in dark pink card which were stamped with an alpha stamp in more Archival ink. The birds were 'grounded' with black Micron pen and some white penwork applied on some of the elements.

I edged the square with plum coloured Versamagic chalk ink to finish.

I really enjoyed making this little square and was totally absorbed for a couple of hours making it .... it is now on its way to its recipient !
