Bunny Love

Still thinking about Easter with this card I made.  This time I have used a white 12 cm square card blank as the base. Printed 6 x 6 inch papers from the Prima tea-thyme collection are used throughout to make the layers.  I really like this collection with its subtle blend of pinks and greens.

The cute bunny stamp is by Alice Palace and is available at Crafty Individuals.  This was stamped in Memento tuxedo black ink on some more white cardstock and coloured with Distress Stains in milled lavender, spun sugar & tattered rose before trimming out and adding some gold Posca pen on the crown.

The sentiment plate was trimmed out from the papers and adorned with a gold embossed 'with love' plate.  Some fine velvet ribbon was added over a strip of paper to display the plate.

The green plate behind the bunny was die-cut and embossed through my Big Shot and coloured with a mixture of peeled paint and shabby shutters Distress Stain.  The embossed spots were treated to some more Posca gold.  All mats and components were then assembled (some on foam pads) and some dots of wild plum Adirondack dimensional acrylic added to finish.

100% Happy

Here's hoping that you are indeed 100% Happy this coming Easter.  This card started life as a square Kraft card blank and was decorated with printed 6 x 6 papers from the Alla-Prima collection.

I stamped the little angel with Memento tuxedo black and trimmed her out.  I then stamped her again on the spotty paper and trimmed out just the dress which I layered over the original image.  She was then coloured with Copic markers and her wings were glittered with Ice Stickles.

I then used a variety of papers and diecut, guillotined and shaped them to make the background oval plate the flowers and various mats and a swirl.

The flowers were edged in spiced marmalade Distress Ink and put together in layers with spotty brads.

The little word plate was stamped on some paper and trimmed out.  All components were arranged as shown and applied with double sided adhesive or foam pads.  More Ice Stickles was added on the flowers to finish.

Stay Happy !!

Eggy Tag !

Here is my tag for the Easter Tag Competition over on UK Stampers Forum.  The one stipulation is that you have to have eggs somewhere on your tag.

I cut the base tag from white cardstock and covered with papers from Kaisercraft (forget-me-not) and My Minds Eye (rosy) 6 x 6 inch paper pads.  Gorgeous papers and the floral one also has glazed portions over some of the flowers which does not show on the pic.

I printed out the eggs and the dictionary definition on the printer and trimmed and mounted them on more cardstock from the pads.  I used a Martha Stewart punch to produce the bottom border out of gold Mirri Card.

The butterfly is a glossy polymer sticker and the letter were stamped onto pale pink card and matted onto green spotty paper.

I used a black Posca pen to edge the tag and add some faux stitches and Distress inks to edge things. I then assembled the components (some raised on foam pads) and added two lengths of green ribbon through a hole cut with a Crop-a-Dile. Finally I added some liquid pearls to finish.

Over on UK Stampers Forum they are having a competition to do an Easter Style Tag ! There are two prizes up for grabs and all you have to do is upload a picture of your creation to the gallery and the winners will be chosen by random number generator on 31st March 2013.

Why not have a go? You will have to join the forum if you are not already a member but it's free to do so. HERE is a link to the post and HERE is a link to the Gallery where the pics are.

Priceless ..........

We have a monthly 'naked' postcard swap over on UK Stampers Forum each month and this months theme is an open theme, meaning that anything goes !

I wanted to use a wood mounted stamp (Funstamps - Coffee Girl) I had had for a while so I started by stamping this in Memento tuxedo black ink on plain white cardstock.  I trimmed the image out and coloured with Copic markers.  The base card was cut to 6 x 4 inches from stout cardstock.

I then used papers from a 6 x 6 stack (Alla-Prima) to produce the background and the two papers are joined in the centre by a die cut strip.

The chandelier is a rub-on and the words are from a set of polymer stamps stamped in Memento ink directly onto the background.

Final assembly was to add a strip of Washi tape from 7 Gypsies, add the image with strong glue and edge the card in ink.  Some Stickles glitter glue was added to some circles and flowers and the whole card was sealed with a couple of coats of cheap hair lacquer to protect it in the post.

I love the whimsical stamp too, but wonder whether coffee in bed delivered by her would be to my liking !!

Buttons...........

I have just completed a set of three ATC's for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum.  The theme for this month is 'Everyday Things' and I decided on buttons.

The ATC blanks were cut from thin mountboard to the prescribed 2.5 x 3.5 inches and each was covered in printed paper to make backgrounds.  Two blue themed and one sepia themed.

I then used a set of fab stamps from Papertrey Ink to stamp all the other background images in Versafine sepia and Memento onyx black.

I selected buttons from my stash to co-ordinate with the colourway and adhered them with glossy accents, highlighting the buttonholes with blue Stickles glitter glue.  I also added a blob of this to highlight the 25c pricepoint on the sepia set.

A little Liquid Pearls in platinum was added on each ATC and when dry each was edged in Distress inks in faded jeans and walnut stain, applied on cut'n'dry foam.

My Dearest Friend

This is the Mothers Day card I made for my dear 87 year old Mum. The base is made from Kraft card and I used 6.5 x 6.5 inch papers from Kaisercraft (Forget-Me-Not) pad throughout. A number of mats were cut in a variety of papers, one being edged with sewing.  The swirl is die-cut through a Big Shot machine..

The sentiment was stamped and matted onto some more paper and applied on foam pads as shown.  The real lace is English Cluny and was applied with thin red line tape.

The main image is a Gorguss Girl stamp and was stamped in Memento tuxedo black ink, coloured with Copic markers, trimmed out and applied on foam pads.

The sewn mat was embellished with a paper flower and a paper rose centred with a half faux pearl.  Most of the mats and flowers were edged with fired brick Distress Ink applied with cut'n'dry foam.

Very pink don't you think !

Friends for Life

Another card for you today and it is again on a Kraft card base.  The 6 inch papers used this time are from the Mellow collection by Basic Grey.  I started by cutting a base mat and applied this to the card with double sided adhesive. Next I diecut a tag through the Big Shot and cut a strip of matching paper the same width as the base mat.  This strip was then matted again on some maroon paper.  This mat was then decorated with faux stitches applied with a black marker and embellished with a Kraft tab and a paper flower, some crushed olive Distress Stickles and a self adhesive word sticker.  The decorated strip was then applied at the base of the card.

The tag  was edged with fired brick Distress Ink and again edged with faux stitches before adding a small double bow of plain jute string through a hole made in the tag with a pokey tool.  This was then applied as shown.

The main stamp used is by Lost Coast Designs and was stamped on white card with Memento tuxedo black ink.  The little guys were coloured with Copic Markers before trimming out.  The image was then mounted on foam pads and stuck in place.

Finishing touch was to colour a piece of twiggy chipboard with the maroon paper, trim off excess with a craft knife, add some dots of crushed olive Distress Stickles.

Smile Please

With the enigmatic smile of the Mona Lisa in my mind and a wonderful weekend spent with my crafting friends in Yorkshire I created this card.

A plain Kraft card was used as a base. The flowers were white Prima which I sprayed with yellow and green Dylusions colour sprays.  They were centred with shabby shutters Distress Sticles and stuck in place with glue dots.

The stamped image (Lost Coast Designs) was stamped with Memento black ink and coloured with pale lemon Copic Marker before trimming out.  This was applied on foam pads to raise it.

All papers used were from a 6 x 6 pad by Prima (Alla-Prima).

The image was layered onto a background paper (sewn around the edges) and applied over two mats cut with the Big Shot using a Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 2 Die.

The sentiment was a self adhesive sticker matted onto pale green card and again applied on foam pads.
