LIM Challenge #495.......

Hi there everyone, time again for another great Challenge over on the 'Less Is More' blog ...... this time you have a 'Colour' challenge for your CAS design. Always remember to follow the rules when entering ......


This is my card for the Challenge :


I used a 6 x 6 inch white card blank as the base. I then die-cut a stitched edge square from more white card. Onto this I stamped with stamps from 'Stampin' Up' in blue, pink & black Memento inks as shown.

The square was applied to the card front.

The sentiment was stamped on white card in Versafine black ink, die-cut out and matted onto black card to form a fine border and was added on foam pads to finish the card .....

LIM Challenge #494 ......

 Hi there everyone, time again for another great Challenge over on the 'Less Is More' blog ...... this time you have a 'One Layer' challenge for your CAS design. Always remember to follow the rules when entering ......




This is my Design Team card for the Challenge:


I chose a 4 x 4 inch white card blank and a stamp from Paper Smooches. This was stamped directly onto the card front in yellow Archival ink, the suns rays were coloured with an orange Posca pen. The heart was stamped centrally in the middle of the sun in more yellow ink.

The sentiment was stamped in Versafine black ink as shown to finish the card ......

LIM Challenge #493 .....

Hi there everyone, time again for another great Challenge over on the 'Less Is More' blog ...... this time you have a 'music' challenge for your CAS design. Always remember to follow the rules when entering ......



This is my Design Team card for the Challenge:


I started with a 6 x 4 inch white card blank and used a stencil to add some Distress INk colours in green and yellow with a blending tool.

I then chose a stamp from Cherry Pie and stamped over the stencilled detail in Versafine black ink.

I then stamped the sentiment in the same colours of Distress ink on white card, trimmed out and added a fine border of black card before adding to the card front as shown to finish .....

LIM Challenge #492 ......

Hi there everyone, time again for another great Challenge over on the 'Less Is More' blog ...... this time you have an alphabet challenge for your CAS design ......





Always remember to follow the rules when entering ......

This is my Design Team card for the Challenge:


I started with a 5 x 5 inch white card blank and die-cut a stitched-edge square from mauve card. I then die-cut another stamp-edge square from white card and layered this onto the mauve layer. 

This was then stamped in Versafine black ink with a seedhead stamp which was coloured with Copic markers.

The sentiment was then stamped in Versafine black directly onto the white matt.

The layers were then attached on the card blank on foam pads to finish .....

LIM Challenge #490 ......

Good morning LIMmers ..... time for another Challenge over on the 'Less Is More' blog. This time it's a colour challenge and you are asked to make a card in the theme of:



Don't forget to follow the rules and here is my card for the Challenge:


I started with a 6 x 6 inch white card blank ......

I then die-cut a smaller stitched edge square from more white card. This was edged in orange Versamagic chalk ink .....

The stylised flower was stamped on white card in spiced marmalade Distress Oxide ink. This was trimmed out and edged in black ink. I then stamped the word and stem in black Versafine ink directly onto the die-cut square applying the flower over the stem.

I then added 3 flat orange/black sequins and placed the finished layer on the card front on foam pads to finish ......

LIM Challenge #489 .....

 Brand new Challenge for you on the 'Less Is More' blog ......  this time it's a 




You are invited to make a Clean And Simple Card (following the rules, of course} for the Challenge and this is my Design Team card:


I took 6 x 6 inch white card blank and a floral stamp from Crafty Individuals and stamped directly on the blank with Versafine black ink which was heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

The image was coloured with Ecoline Brushpens.

I then took a sentiment stamp and stamped directly on the card again with Versafine black ink to finish the card .....

LIM Challenge #488 .....

 Hi LIMmers it's that time again for another new Challenge over on the 'Less Is More' Challenge Blog ......

This time you are asked to contribute a card of your own making, following the theme and the Rules, of course .......

Hoping that you will join us and here is my Design Team card for the Challenge:


I started with a 6 x 6 ins white card base .....

I then cut a smaller matt and die-cut a square stitched-edge aperture in it's centre. I added some score lines around the edge. This was then applied onto the card front.

The coral and scallop shell (Artistic Stamper) were stamped in Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. They were coloured with Distress Ink washes and some dots added to the coral with a pink Posca marker. They were trimmed out.

The green seaweed was die-cut from a piece of white card over which had been laid some Washi tape in greens. The three items were added as shown with the coral on foam pads.

The sentiment was stamped in black Versafine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, trimmed out and edged with black ink. It was applied on more foam pads as shown to finish the card .....

LIM Challenge #487 ......

Hi there again from the 'Less Is More' Challenge blog ..... this time we have an alphabet theme .....

You are invited to join us with a CAS card of your making and design in the above theme, following the rules, of course ......

This is my Design Team card:

I used a 6 x 4 inch white card base and used it landscape.....

All images are by Crafty Individuals and are stamped in black Versafine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

The main image of the happy girls was coloured with Distress Ink washes and a waterbrush and matted onto orange card to leave a fine border.

The 'Beach' pennant was trimmed out along with the words and applied as shown over the image to finish the card ...... very simple but very effective I think .....

LIM Challenge #486 .....

Welcome to a brand new Challenge from 'Less Is More' ......

This time it's :


So you are asked to make a card in any theme but make sure it is CAS (Clean And Simple), so please read and follow the rules on the blog ......

This is my Design Team card:


The base is a 6 x 6 inch white card .....

I then die-cut a stamp-edged frame from more white card and layered this on foam pads centrally on the card base.

I then stamped the main image and words (The Inspector/Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz) in black Versafine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The Inspector was trimmed out along with the words.

I selectively coloured parts of the image with Copic markers in blue and red, leaving the majority just in monochrome. The Inspector was then added to the die-cut layer as shown.

The words were trimmed, matted onto black card and added to finish the card ......

LIM Challenge #485 .......

 Well it's time again for another 'Less Is More' Challenge ..... this time it's a:

You are invited to make a CAS card using the colours and following the rules, of course .....

This is my Design Team card for the Challenge :


I started with a 6 x 6 inch white card base ....

I then die-cut a stitched edge star from white card, and treated this with a smooshing with Dusty Concorde Distress Ink washes. I then stamped with Distress Oxide with a dotty stamp and edged the star with purple Versamagic chalk ink.

The moon & stars design (AAl & Create) was die-cut from black card and carefully trimmed to fit over the star.

The sentiment (Paper Smooches) was stamped on white card in Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. It was trimmed, edged with chalk ink and matted on lilac card.

The card was then assembled ..... the star was added directly to the card front covered with the moon and star die-cut and the sentiment added on foam pads as shown to finish .....

LIM Challenge #484 .......

Hi there ! We are here again with another fab fortnightly Challenge here at 'Less Is More' blog ....

This time you are asked to make a one layer card (see blog for details) in the theme of 'Flowers'.

This is my Design Team card for the Challenge:


The base is a 6 x 6 ins white card blank. I then stamped a rose flower garland (Mama Makes) in black Versafine directly on the card front and coloured this with 4 colours of Acrylograph chalk markers.

The sentiment (Mama Makes) was then stamped in more Versafine black ink inside the garland to finish the card.

LIM Challenge #483 .......

It's time again for another fab CAS Challenge over on the 'Less Is More' blog ..... this time you are invited to make a clean and simple card in the theme of:




Make sure you follow the rules on the blog. This is my Design Team card for the Challenge:

I made a 5 x 5 inch white card as the base. I then die-cut a 4 x 4 inch stitched edge square from more white card.

Onto this I stamped two leaf fronds in green Versafine Clair ink and coloured the leaves with a green Distress Ink wash applied with a waterbrush.

I the selected some floral Washi tape from AAll & Create, applied to white card and then I cut out the 5 flowers and applied over the leaf fronds as shown.

The springing rabbit was (Tim Holtz/Sizzix) was die cut from black card and then applied as shown on foam pads. The word was stamped in Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. It was trimmed and matted on black card to form a thin border and was attached as shown.

The card was finished by attaching the decorated panel directly to the card front ......

LIM Challenge #482 .....

 It's that time again for another 'Less Is More' Challenge ...... this time its an Alphabet Challenge ......




You are asked to play along with us and make a Clean And Simple card featuring  'An Automobile or Automobiles'. Ensure that you follow the rules on the Blog. Plenty of scope in this subject ......

This is my Design Team Card for the Challenge:


I have used a 6 x 6 inch white card base ......

I then chose a stamp from Crafty Individuals of a stylised Volkswagen Beetle and stamped on white card in Versafine black ink. This was then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The image was then die-cut to a circle with a dotty edge die. I stamped the windows again and trimmed out to be added over the originals windows.

The images was coloured with Copic markers and a metallic chrome Tombow pen for the insignia and mirrors. I then added Glossy accents to the lights and the trimmed out windows.

The automobile circle was added directly to the card front and the windows added on foam pads over the original image.

The sentiment was printed on a labelling machine, matted onto black card and then added at the bottom on more foam pads to finish ......

LIM Challenge #481 ......

 Hi and welcome to another Challenge from 'Less Is More'



You have free reign to make a card in any theme you like, keeping it CAS of course ......

This is my Design Team card for the Challenge:


I made a 5 x 5 inch white cardblank from 300gsm white card ....

The daisy image (Tuscan Rose) was stamped on white card in Versafine black ink and this was heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I then chose a circular dotty-edge die and cut out the flower panel. I coloured the daisies with Distress ink washes and a waterbrush.

The sentiment was stamped in Versafine black ink on white card and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I used a smaller similar die to cut this out.

I added the daisy panel directly to the card front and the sentiment on foam pads to finish the card ....

LIM Challenge #480 ......

Well here we are again inviting you to join in with us at 'Less Is More' and make a Clean And Simple card using these colours .....

This is my Design Team card for the challenge:


I used a 6 x 6 inch white card as the base. I then cut a white matt to 3.5 inches square and stamped this with a scribbly flower in Versafine black ink which was heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I then used 'Stream' Adirondack Dye ink and a waterbrush to colour the flower as shown ...... once happy I then drew in the stem with a black Micron pen .......

The white matt was again matted on aquamarine and black cards leaving a small border and this was applied directly to the card front.

The sentiment was also stamped on white card in Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder before trimming out and again matting on coloured and black cards. This was applied on foam pads as shown to finish the card ..... simple !

LIM Challenge #479

It's great to be back after a short but welcome break with the first of this years LIM Challenges ..... this time it's a 'One Layer' Challenge, where you are invited to make a Clean And Simple card .....


You are invited to join in and make a card (following the rules, of course).

Here is my Design Team card:

I started the card by making a 4 x 4 inch white card blank......

This was then stamped with the birds and sentiment in Memento black ink directly to the card front.

I then coloured the birds with Copic alcohol markers and 'grounded' them with a fine black Micron pen to finish the card .....

LIM Challenge #478 .....

 It's time for another Challenge from 'Less Is More' this week the theme is ....



We do hope you will play along with us by making a Clean and Simple card in the theme whilst following the rules, of course !

This is my Design Team card for your inspiration:

The card was made on a 6 x 6 inch white cardbase. I cut a white base to 4 x 4 inches and stamped this with a stamp from AAll & Create in Versafine black ink which was then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Another image of the Wellingtons Boots was made and coloured with Copic markers before trimming out the boots.

I then stamped the words again on white card and edged with green Copic. The white matt was edged with black ink.

I then assembled the card by attaching the stamped layer to the centre of the card base. The boots and words were then attached over the originals on foam pads to finish the card ....

LIM Challenge #477

Yet another 'Less Is More' Challenge today ...... this time you need to make a card .....




Hope you will join us and use two or more colours from the Colour Wheel and follow the Challenge Rules in making a Clean & Simple card ....



This is my Design Team card for the Challenge......

Made a tall thin white card blank measuring 3 x 8 inches ....

I then cut a smaller white card matt and scored lines around the outside to frame it. I then chose three stylized flower stamps and stamped them (overlapping) in Yellow, Orange and Red onto the matt.

The words were stamped in Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The words were edged in black and applied at the bottom on foam pads as shown.

The matt was then applied to the card base to finish .....

LIM Challenge #476 .....

It's that time again for another Challenge over on the 'Less Is More' blog ......




This time you are asked to play along with us with a CAS (Clean And Simple) card of your making and use a stencil .... following the rules, of course .....

This is my Design Team card made to inspire you......


The card was made using a 6 x 6 inch white card base. I chose a stencil and coloured through it centrally with Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron Distress Oxides using stencil brushes to get a blended finish. It was heat set.

I then die-cut a stitched frame from white card and applied to frame the stencilled design.

Next I die-cut the word 'Hello' from black card and applied over the design and frame to finish the card ....

LIM Challenge #475 ......

It's that time again for another 'Less Is More' Challenge ....... this time you are Challenged to make a One Layer Card (OLC)

 

It's important that there are no layers on your card and the design is made directly onto the card. Please ensure you follow the Guidelines on the Blog with your entry.

This is my Design Team card.....


I started with a 4 x 4 inch white card blank. I then chose a circles stencil and used this as a template to draw the outlines of a frame made from circles with a black Micron pen.

These were then coloured with Acrylograph chalk pens in Red, Pink and Green as shown.

To finish the card I chose a 'Thanks' stamp and stamped the word within the hand drawn frame to finish the card .....
