CAS on Friday #263 ......

Hi there, time again for another great Challenge over on 'CAS on Friday' blog .....

This time you are invited to make a Clean And Simple Card (following the rules) in the theme of:

'Holidays'

This is my Design Team card for the Challenge:

I started with a 6 x 4 inch white card blank with a top fold....

I then die-cut a matt from more white card with a top fold. The stamp of a row of beach huts and the sentiment (Crafty Individuals) was stamped in Versafine black ink and was heat embossed with clear embossing powder before trimming out.

The huts were coloured with watercolour brush pens and the sentiment matted onto black card.

I then added the huts to the matt and stamped the seagull (Crafty Individuals) as shown. I then added some gold deco-balls adhered with glossy accents to represent sand in front of the huts and finished the card by adding the die-cut to the card front and applying the sentiment on foam pads .....

Hoping you have been inspired to join us and if you would like further inspiration click HERE to have a look at my fellow Design Team members creations ....... have fun !

Yellow .......

Here are a set of Artist Trading Cards made for a Challenge and swap over on IndigoBlu facebook page in the theme of - 'My Least used Colour' .....

I chose yellow .... not that I dislike it but I certainly don't use it very often on my creations !

I first made the sleeves using a die by Tim  from brown craft card, modifying the sleeves to show half the card. I stamped a flower (IndigoBlu), coloured it with a yellow alcohol pen and dotted the centre with a yellow Posca marker. I then added a strip of yellow Washi tape along the edge as shown.

The ATC's bases were cut from re-cycled food packaging and coloured with white and yellow acrylic paints I then used stamps from IndigoBlu and stamped on white card with Varsafine black ink which was heat embossed with clear embossing powder. They were then trimmed out and applied to the bases.

I then made a wash from yellow Distress ink and coloured each of the images, further colouring with other colours was carried out. I then added a piece of jute string on Glossy Accents and added gold deco-balls also on Glossy accents. I also used some decorative circular brads.

The ATC's were edged in yellow paint pen along with some black dots to finish .....

Hope my swap partner likes them .....

Purple .......

A set of Artist Trading Cards for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum .....

The theme was 'Black and one other Colour'

I stamped the floral stamp (Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous) in black Versafine ink on lilac card and heat embossed this with clear embossing powder. I trimmed out three 2.25 x 3.25 inch pieces and then matted these on black card to 2.5 x 3.5 inches.

I used Dusty Concord Distress ink washes and a waterbrush to colour the florals leaving all the rest uncoloured. I added Glossy accents to selected petals to highlight.

The designs were then added to the bases which were cut from re-cycled food packaging and the ATC's were finished with three black adhesive gems ......

LIM Challenge #488 .....

Hi LIMmers it's that time again for another new Challenge over on the 'Less Is More' Challenge Blog ......

This time you are asked to contribute a card of your own making, following the theme and the Rules, of course .......

Hoping that you will join us and here is my Design Team card for the Challenge:

I started with a 6 x 6 ins white card base .....

I then cut a smaller matt and die-cut a square stitched-edge aperture in it's centre. I added some score lines around the edge. This was then applied onto the card front.

The coral and scallop shell (Artistic Stamper) were stamped in Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. They were coloured with Distress Ink washes and some dots added to the coral with a pink Posca marker. They were trimmed out.

The green seaweed was die-cut from a piece of white card over which had been laid some Washi tape in greens. The three items were added as shown with the coral on foam pads.

The sentiment was stamped in black Versafine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, trimmed out and edged with black ink. It was applied on more foam pads as shown to finish the card .....

Hoping that you have been inspired to have a go and take part this time but if you need further inspiration please click HERE to see my fellow Design Team members card ideas ........
