Golden ......

Made a 4 x 4 inch Decorated Square for September as part of a swap over on UK Stampers Forum ....

I have used a base of re-cycled packaging & coloured and gold card for the base and stamped this with stylised leaves in Memento & Archival inks., the leaves are foiled vellum and are applied on foam pads.  The sentiment is also mounted on the same cards and is stamped in Archival ink.

I wanted this to be uncluttered and simple but still depict the Autumn Season .....

Green Love .......

Made a decorated tag for a Swap over on UK Stampers Forum !

I have used unusual colours for a 'Love' theme.  There are stamped elements over a background made with Distress inks.  The heart has been stamped and foiled in gold and green metallic film and mounted on foam pads to raise it.  I have stamped the buttons with Stazon ink and applied at the base.

Finishing touch was to add some green eyelash fibres.

A Flying Postcard

This postcard is oblong despite the apparent shape on this pic !  It was made as part of a swap over on UK Stampers Forum where we were to send mailart to a chosen swap member.  This one goes to Lorraine.

I made it by cutting a piece of heavy white card to size (4.25 x 6 inches) and then stamping in Versamark with a dots stamp and heat embossing with maroon and pearl green embossing powders.  Once cool I used Distress inks in shabby shutters, fired brick & peeled paint applied with cut'n'dry foam.  A TH swirl mask was used in the top right corner and a fine dots stamp was stamped with the three colours of Distress ink to add a grungey look.

The butterfly was stamped, foiled and cut out and applied with glossy accents.  The text was added with rub-on letters.

I finished by edging with maroon chalk ink. The reverse was treated with inks only and the text handwritten with maroon Marvey le Plume II pen.

This one is 'Flying' it's way to you Lorraine !!

'Rolling Recipe' Tag 3

This is the third tag in the 'Rolling Recipe' series. This weeks had to have a stamped floral image, text and buttons.

Because it's so close to Valentines Day I decided to do a rather different Valentine Tag ........... all greens instead of the usual reds and pinks. All stamps are from Elusive Images.

The card base is white coated card and I have applied layers of Distress inks in shabby shutters, peeled paint and pine needles with a blending tool & cut'n'dry foam. I have then stamped some of the flourishes with the stamp moistened with just a spritz of water from a mini mister. This has almost had a bleached effect on the background colours (see below). Other flourishes were stamped with peeled paint Distress Ink until the effect was to my liking.

The heart was stamped on moss green card with black Stazon and then the design gone over with a Quickie Glue Pen and allowed to dry before applying green and gold transfer foils over the top. This was trimmed with scissors and mounted on foam pads as shown.

The word 'Love' was stamped twice with onyx black Versafine ink as shown.

Five lime green plastic buttons, graduating in size were stamped with the centre of a daisy stamp in olive green Stazon before sticking in place with Glossy Accents at the base of the tag. The holes were filled with sage Appli Glue.

Finishing touches were to add a lime flower eyelet with the crop-a-dile and a length of dark green eyelash yarn tied in a knot through the eyelet.
