Joy ......

Made a watercolour card with a stylised abstract flower .......

I used a 5 x 7 inch white card blank as the base. I then painted a flower on watercolour card and once dry trimmed out.

The flower was then matted on two shades of pink card to frame. The words were stamped in Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I then added three yellow glossy dots to the flower and applied the matts to the card front to finish .....

Hugs .....

A card made recently .....

I used a white card blank as the base......square

I then cut a piece of Gelli printed background and matted this onto pink card. I then stamped a lace stamp in blue Versafine Clair ink at the top.

I then stamped with green and pink Distress Oxides to co-ordinate with the background colours.

The flower was stamped on white card with Versafine black and this was her embossed with clear embossing powder. I then coloured this with fluorescent colours of GellyRoll Moonlight pen. and trimmed this out. The sentiment was stamped inVersafine black on white card which was then matted onto more of the same Gelli print and pink card.

The background matts were adhered to the card blank, with the flower and sentiment added on foam pads. I finished the card with 3 bright pink sequins added with Glossy Accents .....

Starry Hanger

Here's another one of my Xmas items.  The wood star was kindly provided by Tinkertaylor (Jan) after she asked her hubby to do 50 for her !!!  Now that's true dedication !

I started by selecting a ruler background paper from the Tim Holtz 'Lost and Found' 12 inch paper stash and I glued this to the smooth wooden face of the star with PVA glue.  I then closely trimmed around the star with a craft knife.  I then cut a hole with a crop-a-dile middle of the top point of the star.  The whole star was edged with red chalk ink.

The jingle bells were cut from the reverse of the same paper with a Martha Stewart punch and the three resulting bells were edged with red chalk ink and arranged onto a piece of florists wire threaded through the hole and twisted carefully round a pencil .

I then selected a number 25 from another page of the paper, trimmed it out and matted it onto a piece of slightly larger cream card.  This was edged with ochre chalk ink and after applying a little red Stickles glitter glue around the square was stuck in place as shown.  The noel was from PaperArtsy and was stamped in black archival ink onto another piece of white card, trimmed and again edged in the chalk ink.  This was mounted onto foam pads and applied as shown to add more dimension.

Final embellishment was a piece of folded and trimmed red grosgrain ribbon applied on double sided tape.

Another Floral ATC Set

Here are another 3 ATC's this time for a swap with a lady called Sandy from Winsconsin USA. These were done using more Laura Ashley backing papers, USArtquest watercolour paints applied by waterbrush and some brads and buttons. The middle ATC has a background in wisteria and denim blue chalk inks applied direct to paper over a Versamark stamped image which was first heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Once the colour had been applied to my liking I have placed the ATC face down and sandwiched between two sheets of brown paper. This was then dry ironed with a hot iron to melt the EP and absorb it into the brown paper. This produced a faux batik effect which allowed the white base card to show through the image. The words were stamped with Making Memories magnetic stamps and Versafine ink.

Hope you like them !
