Shine ......

Made a card featuring Cicadas ....... a bit unusual .....

I used a white card blank as the base.

The background is a Gelli print which was trimmed to take the main Cicada. This was then mounted on black card to form a frame. Some Washi tape was added along with the Washi word (AAll & Create)

I then trimmed some pink Angelina fibre sheet and added some sparkly background frames to the Gelli print.

I then die-cut the Cicada (Tim Holtz - Sizzix) from Washi tape covered card and backed this with the same Angelina fibres. I also die-cut two more from clear shrink plastic and shrunk these, colouring with Copic markers.

The main Cicada was added as shown and the two shrink plastic Cicadas on foam pads to finish .....

Fabulous .....

A long thin fantasy card .....

I used a white card base and coloured a background with Distress Oxide washes. This was stamped with a variety of stamps, some from AAll & Create in Versafine black ink, Archival sepia and added torn Washi and a flower made from Washi tape.

I have used paint pens to add elements and a quote from Dylusions. The panel was mounted on foam pads to finish the card .....

Journey ......

Made a card using an AAll & Create stamp ......

I used a large white card blank as the base. The image was stamped twice on white card with Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The bird was trimmed out from one of the images.

The background was made with Distress Oxides, water spray and a stamp. Some Washi tape was applied around the image and a pink Distress ink wash was applied to the flowers along with some Chrome mirror ink highlights. The bird was coloured with Distress Ink watercolours and Glossy Accents added to it's breast and eye. The bird was added on foam pads over the original image. The ssentiment is Washi tape applied on self adhesive foam.

The matt was given a surround of black card and this was then added to the card base to finish ....

Hello ......

A 'Hello' card with a butterfly design ......

I used a white card blank as the base. I then cut some orange card and matted this on some printed paper and black card. I stamped this several times with Archival sepia using a couple of background stamps, adding some stripes of orange paint.

The three butterflies were stamped in Versafine black and were die-cut, being coloured with orange paint pen and Glossy Accents. They were then added by glueing the body only to the background to afford some depth ....

I then die-cut a flower from Tim Holtz and the word hello. They were applied as shown after sticking the decorated panel in place to finish the card .....

Screen .....

Made a mailart postcard for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum ....

The background is a Gelli print and this was bonded to a piece of re-cycled food packaging. I have decorated some of the circles to look like film reels and drew in some film around them with Posca pen.

The ladies stamps are by Crafty Individuals and these were stamped in Versafine black ink, heat embossed with clear embosing powder and punched out to 1 x 1 inch squares. They were left monochrome except for an edging with liquid mirror Chrome metallic pen before applying onto the card as shown.

The words were made from black Dymo tape and were also edged in the mirror chrome. Some dots in mirror Chrome were also applied to the corners of the card.

It needs to travel through the post naked so embellishments were stuck in place with lots of hi-tack glue so they don't get lost as they travel .....

Difference .....

Everyone likes butterflies ..... made this card using stamps and a die from AAll & Create .....

I used a white card blank as the base and die-cut a white mat with a stitched edge. I coloured this with Distress Oxides and a piece of acetate in blue and mauve. I then stamped in blue Versafine Clair ink some flowers and added some coloured strips and paint linesspattering with white.

The layered butterfly was stamped in two blues and black Archival inks, trimmed out and decorated with Posca pens.

The sentiment was stamped out on white card with Versafine black ink and trimmed. I then die-cut the T2 on black card and trimmed out some unwanted elements before sticking to the decorated matt. The matt was again matted on black card to form a border and the sentiment and butterfly were stuck in place (the butterfly being shaped to add dimension.

The completed matt was then applied to the card front to finish ......

Decided to make a matching set of Artist Trading Card & Artist Trading Coin made with Lynne Perrella stamps from PaperArtsy as a little gift for a crafty friend ......

I made the background on my Gelli plate with acrylic paints. For the ATC I cut a piece of background to 2.5 x 3.5 ins and highlighted some of the design with a white Posca pen and for the AT Coin I die-cut a circle to 2.5 ins diameter again highlighting with a Posca pen.

These backgrounds were then backed with re-cycled food packaging.

The ATC stamp was stamped twice and heat embossed with clear and with gold embossing powder.

The AT Coin was stamped and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Both images were trimmed out and coloured with washes made with Impress and Distress ink washes.

The images were then stuck in place with elements of the gold embossed image added to both. Some of the circles were highlighted with Glossy Accents. Each of the items was edged in white pen.

I then added two small die-cut stars on foam pads to each which had previously been covered with Tim Holtz Tissue tape. The printed words were added to finish the two items ......

Paris ......

 

Made a Paris inspired collage greetings card..... entering into the latest Country View Crafts Challenge 'We Will Always Have Paris' ......

Started with a white 5 x 7 inch card blank. Took a number of printed papers and made matts of different sizes with red boreder layering these as shown with some on foam pads.

Some fleur-de-lys were stamped in black Versafine ink and I stamped a 'Maison de Beute' stamp in Versamark and heat embossed this with gold embossing powder on white card, trimmed this out and again bordered with red before applying on foam pads as shown.

The words unconditional love were applied along with some red mini crystal gems to finish.

Escape ......

Made a card using Crafty Individuals stamps and printed paper ......

I used a white card blank as the base and cut a piece of the 'Wonderfully Weathered' printed paper and trimmed, matting on black and blue cards to frame.

The main image of the boat was stamped twice in Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The whole image was trimmed out and coloured with Distress Ink washes and a waterbrush before trimmng out and applying to the background.

I selectively trimmed the boat from the second image and coloured before adding over the first on foam pads for depth. I used a white Posca pen to highlight sections.

The word is made from trimmed self-adhesive letter on black and blue card.... also added on foam pads. Finally the decorated panel was added to the card front to finish......

Celebrate .....

Made a star Celebrations card .....

The base is a white square cardblank. I made a background with Distress inks and water on white card and trimmed, matting on black card to form a border.

The stars are all die-cut some from a piece of card to which Tim Holtz tissue tape had been applied and some from pearlescent pink card. These were layered as shown some on foam pads.

The Let's Celebrate star was stamped in black versafine on white card, trimmed and matted on more black card before applying as shown on foam pads.

Finally some Washi tape numbers and pink pearls were added to finish ......

Made a 'Thank You' card with a hand-drawn and coloured background ..... inspired by a napkin seen in Sostrene Grene ......

I used a white 6 x 6 inch cardblank as the base and cut a piece of white card which I drew and coloured with Acrylograph & Posca pens. It was matted on black card to form a border.

The thank you was stamped on pearlescent pink card in black Versafine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder before die-cutting and mounting on more black card trimmed to form a border.

I applied the mat to the card base and the sentiment on foam pads. Finished with two clear adhesive gems .....

A card made for the Less Is More challenge blog ........

I decided to make a condolences card ...... I die-cut oblong pieces of black and silver card.... then using the stamp positioner I stamped some leaves in Versamark on both pieces and heat embossed with black on the silver and silver on the black. They were then cut in two and applied as shown on a white card blank to do a vice-versa effect.

I then die-cut a stitched circle in more silver card and stamped the words in black on white card, trimmed out and applied centrally on the circle. It was added on foam pads to finish the card ......

After doing a Gothic Arch Triptych Challenge on UK Stampers Forum I decided to do another one ....

I cut the Arch to a template from cereal box card and covered with iridescent green/gold paper.

I then stamped a piece of shaped paper with a leaf stamp and used Distress inks applied with cut'n'dry foam. The house wall & roof were made from greyboard which was painted with acrylic paints and stamped with Archival ink. The windows and door were infilled with papers. All edges wer darkened with brown ink.

The house was applied on gel medium and a heat embossed heart on rusty wire trapped within. A strip of yellow ribbon with the words 'Under Construction' was applied at the base.

The words were stamped, trimmed and edged with brown before applying as shown. Some dots of Stickles glitter glue were added to finish .....

Imagine ......

A card made recently  with some AAll & Create stamps & Washi tape .....

I used a white cardblank for the card. I then cut a piece of white card and used Distress Oxides to make the base in amber and blue. I then used a home-made foam stamp with large letters to stamp over the background with speckled egg Distress Oxide, adding another layer of bluebprint sketch Oxide through a stencil with cut'n'dry foam.

I stamped a couple of lines of faux stitching in Versafine black ink adding some strips of Washi tape to the outside of the square. This was then matted onto Indigo blue card. I then strung some sparkly fibres around the card as seen.

The Flowers were stamped on white card and coloured with pale green paint pen before trimming and applying (one on foam pads). The word was stamped in black Versafine ink and matted on teal card and stuck in place as shown.

Finally the decorated square was applied to the card base on more foam pads .....

Live .....

This card was made on a white cardblank.

I painted an oval aperture with teal acrylic paint and stamped this in Archival black ink, splashing with some white spatters of Molotow paint pen.... I added some metallic chrome spots on the design too.

I selectively stamped the 25 in green Versafine Clair ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, applying over the original with a foam pad.

The base card was stamped with a couple of screw head stamps (also treated with chrome pen) and some silver lines were added. The oval was then applied centrally on more foam pads. The numbers are Washi tape matted on black card and the 'LIVE' is also Washi tape applied to finish the card .....

Hibiscus ......

Made a card using AAll & Create stamps and Washi tape ......

I used a square white cardblank. I then cut a smaller square of white card and stamped this with Versafine black ink which was heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The panel was edged with doodled black squares in Posca pen. This was stamped again and the butterfly fussy cut and coloured with a Distress Ink wash and orange Posca pen.

The Hibiscus was stamped and heat embossed and trimmed out and also coloured with Distress Ink washes. I added some metallic gold to the stamen.

I added some torn strips of Washi tape and the sentiment was stamped in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder, trimmed and mounted on black card.

The card was assembled with the flower and butterfly on foam pads and the sentiment direct to the card to finish .....

A 'Thank You' Card .....

I used a 5 x 5 in white card blank as the base. I then took some teal card and cut a square. This was stamped with a couple of ladder stamps (Mama Makes) in black Versafine ink. I then applied some torn strips of AAll & Create Washi tape.

The squares and triangles were die-cut from a piece of card made using a metallic green Lumiere paint over previously dry teal acrylic paint, spattered with water, lightly dried and blotted off with a paper towel. Each die-cut shape was matted onto black card.

The shapes were applied to the green square , some on foam pads , each shape has a gold metallic adhesive glossy dot added.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I used a green Posca pen to edge the green square and the sentiment .....

Dancing .....

A 'Dancing' feet card ..... made with Visual Image stamps .....

I used a 6 x 6 inch white card blank as the base. I then cut a piece of spotty printed paper to size and matted on black card to forn a border.

I then stamped the feet & legs in black Versafine ink on white card. This was trimmed, coloured with Distress Ink washes and matted on black card. This was then applied onto the base matt. I then stamped the same image in blue Versamark Clair ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The image was again trimmed out.

I then applied the coloured matt onto the base and then the blue image , offset on foam pads.

The printed word was trimmed out and matted on white card and was applied on more foam pads. I added three blue sequins and dotted a number of the spots on the base layer with Glossy accents to add texture to finish the card .....

Sun ?......

Here is a tag I made using Crafty Individuals stamps ..... it is also  entered into a Challenge over on UK Stampers Forum which requires you to 'use a stencil' .....

The background was made on a Gelli plate with acrylic paints and a circles stancil ... rather bright in red and yellow !

The tag was cut out from the background, the bottom edges rounded with a corner rounder & edged with a broken line in black Posca marker. I used a Crop-a-Dile to apply a black eyelet to the top of the tag.

The stamp was stamped twice on white card in Versafine black ink and was heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The whole image was trimmed out and then the yellow birdy was trimmed out too.

I coloured both stamped images with Distress inked washes and highlighted with white Posca. The base image was applied to the tag as shown and the second image applied over the first on foam pads to add some depth.

I then used a Dymo and red tape to spell out the sentiment which was matted onto black card before applying as shown with a question mark added with Posca marker.

The tag was finished with three pieces of fine velvet ribbon in red, yellow and black ......

Stand .......

I was recently invited to join an ATC swap using only Visible Image stamps and stencils ......

I used a piece of micro corrugated cardboard as the back and a piece of watercolour card as the bakground, both cut to 3.5 x 2.5 inches.

I then chose stamps frm a set by Visual Image called 'Stand Out'. I stamped using the bricks stamp which I stamped muliple time with walnut stain Distress Oxide ink. I then spritzed with water and dried quickly with a heat gun to react the Oxide. I then filled in edges of the bricks with a fine black Micron pen.

The legs were then stamped with Versafine black ink on white card and heat embossed the image with clear embossing powder. They were trimmed out and the laces coloured blue with a Posca pen. They were then applied onto the ATC front as shown.

The words were stamped in more Versafine black ink and trimmed out with more blue Posca to highlight. They were applied on foam pads as shown.

The ATC was edged in black to finish ..... hope my swap partner likes it .....

Luigi .....

Haven't mde a folding boxcard for so long, so when I saw the new stamps from Crafty Individuals I just had to use Luigi the Llama to make one .....

I die cut the base components from white card.

The top panel decoration was also die-cut and I used stamps from a magazine Freebie by Crafty Individuals to stamp the leaves on green card in Archival ink. The back panel was cut from blue card and a sun cut and decorated with orange Stickles Giltter glue. The decorations were also cut from the Aztec design border.

The base panels were cut from some background paper (Crafty Individuals) and decorated with an Aztec design stamped in black Versafine and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, these were trimmed to fit and coloured with Posca markers.

The main image of Luigi was stamped along with the sentiment in black Versafine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder before trimming out and colouring with Distress ink washes.

He was stuck in place along with the sentiment to finish the card ..... the whole boxcard folds flat to fit in an envelope to send thrugh the post ....

Create .....

Made a set of ATC's for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum ....... the theme is 'Black & White and one other colour' .....

I used some re-cycled corrugated board as the bases and applied a layer black an white spotty paper to each.

I then stamped the word 'Create' three times in black Versafine ink on white card and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. Each was trimmed out and then coloured with a fluorescent pink Gelly Roll stardust pen.

I then set about die-cutting a number of circles from black and white card. some were coloured with more Gelly Roll and some coloured with black Posca marker. They were then applied as shown along with some black shiny adhesive dots.

The word was applied on foam pads and each ATC edged with more black Posca pen to finish.

Embrace .....

Made a card using AAll & Create stamps and Washi tape .....

Rather unusual colours for ths type of card but I love green and purple together. I used a piece of Gelli printed background (made with acrylic paints, stencils and a stamp)as the base and matted this onto black card to form a border. I added some torn strips of purple and lime green spotty Washi tape and spatters of gold Posca pen.

I then stamped the heart in Versafine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder and trimmed it out. It was coloured with a dye ink wash of lime Impress ink. Some UTEE in violet/blue was added to highight edges and it was wrapped with fine purple craft wire. The LOVE word was stamped in Versafine Clair purple ink and heat embossed with clear powder, mounted on black card and trimmed into individual letters.

The heart was added as shown on foam pads and the letters added on the right.

Three screw-head brads were added along with a few purple sequins on Glossy Accents. The background was then added on more foam pads onto a tall card base.

Cute ......

Made a decorative tag using All & Create materials .....

I cut a piece of Gelli Print background to size, stamping  the zig-zags with Flitter Glue and treating with metal flakes. I also added some black lines with a Micron pen and some torn strips of AAll & Create Washi tape. The background was matted onto black card to form a border.

I then die-cut some circles from black card and applied as shown, overlapping to form links.

The little person was stamped in black Archival ink, trimmed out and coloured with Acrylograph pens. The words were stamped in black Versafine ink, trimmed out and matted on more black card.

She was added on foam pads, grunded on the Washi tape. The tag was finished with a black eyelet and some spotty satin ribbon stapled to hold in place.

Sea You .....

Welcome to May !! This Clean & Simple Card is made for the Less Is More blog Challenge ......

Well a mermaid is a 'Sea Creature' isn't she ? I used an A6 white card blank on its side.

The mermaid (My favourite Things) was stamped in Memento black ink and die-cut before colouring with Copic markers and white Posca Pen. The sentiment (My Favourite Things) was stamped in Versafine black ink on white card, trimmed and matted on blue card.

The wave was stamped direct to the card front in Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink and treated with more white Posca pen.

The mermaid and sentiment were then added on foam pads to finish the card .....
