Made this Artist trading Coin which is 2.5 inches in diameter as an entry into the 'Alice Day' Challenge running until 5th July over on UK Stampers Forum .... the idea originated from
Jannet Blay who is a great 'Alice in Wonderland' fan. If you would like to join in the Challenge click
HERE to go to the Forum ... it's free, fun & friendly. All you have to do to enter is make something with stamping, take a photo and upload to an Album. The winner will be randomly chosen (so no judging), and will win a fabulous 'Alice' prize kindly donated by Jannet !
I made the background from some tissue paper which came from Jannet and applied this to a die-cut circle made from re-cycled cereal packaging. I used a brush and acrylic matte medium to apply the tissue.
Once completely dry I directly stamped the Hatter and coloured him with alcohol ink pens and Posca markers. The pocket watch was stamped directly but I also stamped again on white card and trimmed out the numerals which were stuck in place over the stamped image on the coin. Some silver pen dots were added. I then stamped the 'Alice' word in Archival black ink and embellished with three matte metallic heart brads.
I backed the coin with two more layers of packaging and edged with red chalk ink to finish.
