CAS on Friday #254 .....

 Time for another Challenge over at 'CAS on Friday' .....

This time you are challenged to make a card featuring 'DOTS', following the rules of course .....

This is my Design Team card for the Challenge and hope you will be inspired to join us this time:

I used a 6 x 6 inch white card base for the card and die-cut a stitched-edge square to 5.5 inches.

I then used a dots stencil and coloured through it with yellow, red and blue Distress inks applied with blending brushes.

I then stamped some red, orange and blue card with a text stamp and die-cut circles from this edging each with black Versamagic chalk ink. The circles were added over the stencilled design on foam pads.

The sentiment was stamped in black Versafine Ink on white card and trimmed out, matting on black card and trimming to leave a border ..... this was added on more foam pads.

The designed square was then applied directly to the card front to finish my CAS card ......

ART ? .......

An ATC made to trade .... (email sidscards9@gmail.com if you want to trade) .....

The base is made from an inked background mounted on re-cycled food packaging for strength .... I have rounded the corners with a punch .....

I then stamped with a diamond stamp (Crafty Individuals) in black Versafine ink. The letters spelling art were die-cut from black card and applied as shown edging with white Posca pen. The arch frame is mountboard and has been infilled with pink acrylic and sparkly heat embossed design. Onto this has been added a print from Craft Individuals .... this was added to the ATC as shown.

I then added three adhesive gems  and a black sparkly cabochon.

The ATC's were edged with black ink and white dots to finish ......

Imaginative.....

A card made with AAll & Create stamps & Washi tape ......

The base is white card and I made an ink splash background with coloured inks. This was trimmed to fit and matted on black card to form a frame.

I then stamped the chevrons and screw heads in black Versafine ink and added a few lines of white Posca pen.

The wing and girl were stamped in Versafine black ink which was then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The wing was coloured with Distress Ink washes along with the girl and both were trimmed out and edged with black ink.

The wing was applied over the background and the girl applied on foam pads. I added a shadow round one side of the wing with black Inktense pencil and a waterbrush.

The word is made from torn Washi tape and I have added some metallic gold cabochons to the front. The design was then added to the card front as shown to finish .....

Joyful.....

Crafted a Decorated Tag ......

The base was cut from re-cycled packaging and this was covered with a background made on the Gelli plate in dark colours.

The background was stamped with moonlight white & turquoise Brilliance inks with an AAll & Create stamp.

The flowers were die-cut from card and vellum and were assembled with an adhesive pearl centre and added as shown. I used some Washi tape on white card from AAll & Create which was trimmed to make the circles which were edged in black and added as shown. The tag was edged in white acrylic .

The sentiment was again made from Washi tape and mounted on foam pads. I then added an eyelet withthe Crop-a-dile and threaded through with some blue and orange ribbons held in place with some blue metallic thread to finish ......

Up, Up ......

Made a card ..... I started with a 5 x 5 inch white card blank. I then applied some inked paper onto card and die-cut a decagon with a stitched edge which was edged in dark blue Versamagic chalk ink.

I the used an air balloon stamp (Crafty Individuals) and stamped in black Versafine ink onto the octagon and again onto white card, this time heat embossing with clear embossing powder. The balloon was coloured with Distress Inks and Posca pen before trimming out, edging in black ink and applying over the original stamp on foam pads.

The sentiment (Crafty Individuals) was stamped in black Versafine ink on white card and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. It was trimmed and matted onto more of the background before trimming to leave a fine edge.

The Octagon and balloon were added to the card front and the sentiment then added on foam pads as shown.

Finishing touch was to add three turquoise sequins ........

Choose .....

Made a tag for a monthly swap over on UK Stampers Forum .......

The card base is white card cut to shape and re-enforced behind with re-cycled food packaging .....

I used an old wood mounted stamp of a scribbly flower and stamped directly on the tag with Stream Adirondack dye ink. The colour was spread with a waterbrush and the centre was coloured with green ink. I then stamped again in Versafine black ink on more white card and was heat embossed with clear embossing powder. This was coloured with pink ink as before and centred in Yellow ink, Then trimmed out.

I applied turquoise chevron Washi tape pieces and stamped a tiny dragonfly in red, blue and green Versafine Clair Ink. The words are made from Aall & Create Washi Tape applied to white card and trimmed out.

I edged the tag with yellow Distress ink applied with a blending brush. The pink flower and the words were added on foam pads as shown and three turquoise cabochons added.

I then added a black eyelet with the Crop-a-Dile and threaded through with some multi-coloured sparkly ribbon. Final touch was to add Glossy Accents to the centres of both flowers ......

Coins .......

A set of three Artist Trading Coins made for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum .....

The bases were die-cut from re-cycled food packaging and the backgrounds were made with inks on matt paper ......

I used s circular stamp and stamped this in Versafine black ink onto the backgrounds which were then applied to the bases. I edged the Coins with Wisteria Versamagic chal ink.

I kept the design simple and just added a sparkly black cabochon to the centre of each of the Coins to finish .....

Cherries .....

A set of Artist Trading Cards made for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum in the theme 'Juicy Fruit' .....

The bases were cut to 2.5 x 3.5 inches from re-cycled food packaging. I then made the background from a Gelli print and applied to the bases.

Each ATC was then edged with cherry Washi tape and highlights added with a white Posca pen.

The Cherries (Hero Arts) were stamped in Vesafine ink and heat embosses with clear embossing powder, colouring with Copics and Posca before trimming out and applying as shown. They were edged with black Micron pen.

I then stamped some droplets in red Versafine and added a gold printed 'Juicy' to each to finish .....

LIM Challenge #479

It's great to be back after a short but welcome break with the first of this years LIM Challenges ..... this time it's a 'One Layer' Challenge, where you are invited to make a Clean And Simple card .....

You are invited to join in and make a card (following the rules, of course).

Here is my Design Team card:

I started the card by making a 4 x 4 inch white card blank......

This was then stamped with the birds and sentiment in Memento black ink directly to the card front.

I then coloured the birds with Copic alcohol markers and 'grounded' them with a fine black Micron pen to finish the card .....

Hopefully this will inspire you to join in !

CAS on Friday #253 .....

Time for another Challenge over at 'CAS on Friday' ....

This time you are challenged to make a card featuring 'TAGS' ..... following the rules, of course ....

This is my Design Team make for the Challenge:

I started with a 6 x 6 inch white card blank. I then cut a matt to 5 3/4 inches from brown Kraft card and attached to the card front to leave a fine white border.

I then die-cut a star swirl from white card and applied (along with some extra stars) to the card.

The Tag was stamped in Versafine black ink onto white card and trimmed out before matting onto more brown Kraft card. I then added an eyelet with the crop-a-dile and tied through with some jute string.

The sentiment was stamped in Archival sepia ink on white card and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. It was matted on brown Kraft to outline before adding to the tag.

Finally the tag was applied over the starry swirl on foam pads ......

Birds .....

A set of Twinchies made for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum in the theme of 'Birds & Bees' ....

I cut some re-cycled food packaging to 2.5 inches square as the base and also cut the background from an acrylic Gelli plate design.

I decorated this with bees stamped in black Stazon ink.

The bird was stamped in black Memento ink, coloured with Posca pens and trimmed out before applying as shown. The backgrounds were stuck in place on the bases and each was edged with gold Krylon pen.

I added some yellow Posca dots at the corners to compliment and finish the Twinchies .....

Beautiful .......

Made a collaged Artist Trading Card for trading ....

The base is made form re-cycled food packaging and the background is a Gelli print trimmed to 2.5 x 3.5 inches.

The background has had a clear holographic embossing powder added at the top and has been embellished with collaged papers, Washi Tape, and posca Pens, The word is made from Washi tape (Aall & Create) applied to white card and trimmed out before adding on foam pads.

The ATC has then been edged with white Posca pen to finish .....

Wonderland .....

A collaged Wintery Artist Trading Card ...... ready to trade ......

The base is made from re-cycled food packaging cut to 2.5 x 3.5 inches. The papers have been collaged and a die-cut removed and mounted over brown Kraft card.

The words were printed, trimmed and added as shown ...... the gingerbread man has been treated with Glossy Accents and some glitter dots added at the top ......

Lightbulb ......

Here is a card I made for a Challenge over on Country View Crafts Challenge Blog where Corrie has Challenged us to make a Birthday Card for a Man ......

I used a white card blank as the base. I cut a smaller matt from white card and used a stencil and yellow and orange Distress Oxide inks directly to the stencil, spritzing with water and applying to the matt. When dry I chose a lightbulb stamp (Aall & Create) and stamped it over the background with sepia Archival ink. I then stamped again on more white card with Versafine black ink this time heat embossing with clear embossing powder. I then coloured the bulb with a waterbrush and Inktense pencils before trimming out and trimmed out the 'One light bulb moment' words.

The lightbulb was added over the original image on foam pads and a black shadow applied with more Inktense pencil. The words were added over the background direct to the card.

I then stamped the sentiment in black Versafine and heat embossed with clear embossing powder before trimming out and applying on foam pads as shown. The background was then matted on black card and three gold metallic dots added. The background was then applied to the card base to finish .....

Hopefully any man would like to receive this card for their Birthday .......

Alluring .......

An Artist Trading Card made to trade ....

The base is made from re-cycled food packaging and the background is a print, both were cut to 2.5 x 3.5 inches.

I chose a stamp (Crafty Individuals) and stamped in Versafine black ink which was heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The bird was trimmed out and coloured with Distress ink washes.

The background was stamped with foliage from the same stamp and a chequer stamp was inked in two colours of Distress Oxide green & some added white marks added to the leaves.

The background was added to the base, the bird added and the sentiment (Washi Tape) was added as shown.

The whole ATC was edged in blue Versamagic chalk ink to finish .....

Thriving ......

A collaged Artist Trading Card .... made to trade  .....

The base is made from re-cycled food packaging cut to 2.5 x 3.5 inches. The background is a print and has been cllaged with a number of elements including a postage stamp, die-cuts, Washi tape, gem & stamping.

The background has been added to the base, edged with green Versamagic chalk ink and corner rounded with a punch to finish .......

Pink ......

A set of Inchies made for a month ly swap over in UK Stampers Forum ......

These are 1 x 1 inches in size ! The bases were punched from re-cycled food packaging and the background was from a Gelli Plate.

I have stamped the flower in black Vesafine ink and coloured with Acrylograph pens. A strip of metallic gold Washi tape was added and embellished with pink adhesive caboshons. The self adhesive letters were applied and three green dots added to each Inchie, again with Acrylograph pen.

The inchies were edged with violet Versamagic chalk ink and a touch of Wink of Stella pen to finish ....

An Artist Trading Card made to trade ......

The base was cut from re-cycled food packaging to 2.5 x 3.5 inches. The background was also cut from a Gelli print.

The background was embellished with collaged elements, Washi tape stamping and mosaic tiles.

The words were added and edged in black and I used Black Soot Distress Ink applied with a blending brush ......

Bunny ......

Made a little papercraft bunny construction gift box ......

I used a set of dies from Jaded Blossom to cut the box panels from printed heavyweight paper. The octagonal box comes in two parts which are put together to form the box which has an open top so you can but some chocolate etc. inside.

The face panel was die-cut from white card as were the eyes & pupils along with the nose and muzzle. I mounted them on the face panel on foam pads trapping some finely cut black card whiskers behind the nose. I also added some pink cheeks with chalk ink and my finger.

The ears were also die-cut and assembled before adding to the box behind the face panel. The bow was also die-cut and added as shown.

I added a die-cut handle to the box secured with brads to finish the cute box ......

Captivating .....

An Artist Trading Coin made to trade .....

The base was cut to 2.5 x 3.5 inches from re-cycled food packaging. The background is a Gelli print also trimmed to ATC size.

I stamped the background with a text stamp (Wendy Vecchi) in black Versfine ink. and added collage elements of stamps, torn book page & Washi tape. The flower was added and centred with a blue adhesive gem. Some circles were stamped in twisted citron Distress oxide ink. Some white lines were drawn with a white Acrylograph pen.

The word is made from Washi tape on white card .... trimmed and added with white baseline.

The backgroung was then added to the base and the whole was edged in dark blue Versamagic chalk ink to finish ......

CAS On Friday #252 ......

It's that time again for another fortnightly Challenge over on the CAS on Friday Challenge Blog ...

You are invited to join in with a Clean And Simple card of your own making in the theme and following the rules, of course .....

The theme this time is 'Friendship' and this is my Design Team card for the Challenge ..... hope you are inspired to enter the challenge ...

The card was made on a 6 x 6 inch white card base. The stamp of the three friends was stamped in black Versafine ink on white card and was heat embossed with clear embossing powder andcoloured with Distress ink washes before trimming out and matting on black card to form a border.

I then took a die for the background (Stampin' Up) and cut out of black card applying across the card base. This was overlaid with the stamped image on foam pads.

The word was made from letters Washi tape where I have selected the letters and composed the word on white card. This was then matted on more black card and added as shown on more foam pads to finish the card .....

Graceful .......

An Artist Trading Card made to trade .....

The base is cut to 2.5 x 3.5 inches from re-cycled food packaging. The background was cut to the same size and was made from collaged printed papers .....

This was stamped with a womans face outline stamp in Versafine black ink and selectively coloured with Posca pens. Some gold foiled leaves on vellum were added.

The background was added to the base and the ATC was edged in metallic gold Washi tape. The word was trimmed and added being edged in black Micron pen to finish ......

Transforming .....

An Artist Trading Card made to trade ....

The base is cut to 2.5 x 3.5 inches from re-cycled food packaging .....

The background is made from a Gelli print trimmed to the same size. This has been stamped with a flower stamp in colours of Chalk Inks and infilled with Acrylograph chalk pens. The leaves (Tim Holtz/Sizzix) were die-cut into the background and backed with brown Kraft.

The background was added to the card base and the word (made from trimmed Washi tape on white card) added and based with white chalk pen.

Three glitter dots were added and the ATC was edged in Krylon gold pen to finish .....
