There is a
Challenge on Country View Crafts blog at the moment whose theme is 'The Eyes Have It' and I decided to enter it with a whimsical card ....
I used PaperTrey Ink stamps in the main to make the scene & thought the froggys eyes needed to be blue.
I used a 6 x 6 inch white card base and die-cut a piece of blue/green background paper with a square sewn edge die. I then used Distress Ink and a waterbrush to make the bluer water area at the base, drying with a heat gun. This was decorated with white Posca Pen. The background was matted on black card and trimmed to leave a border. This was applied centrally on the card blank.
I then die-cut a couple of wildflower pieces using a Tim Holtz die and these were coloured with Copic markers, cut down and applied as shown.
I stamped froggy, the lilypad and the sentiment in Memento black ink on white card. The frog and lilypad were then die-cut, coloured with Copic markers and white Posca Pen. I applied Glossy Accents to the pad and froggys eyes. These were applied as shown on foam pads. The sentiment was matted on more black card and mounted top right on foam pads.
Finishing touch was to stamp the bee and trail in Versafine black ink !
