Black .....

This is a card made for a 'Black & Red' Challenge over on UK Stampers Forum ......

I used a 7 x 5 inch white card blank. I then chose an AAll & Create stamp and stamped it twice in Versafine black ink which was then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The flower from one was trimmed out and coloured with red Copic marker. This was then applied over the original image on foam pads. The image layer was then matted onto black and then red cards.

I then die-cut the 'With Love' from red card and matted this on red card. This was then added on foam pads as shown. The numbers (Tim Holtz/Sizzix) were also die-cut and applied on the card front.

The design and matts were then added to the card front which was finished with 3 black sequins .....

Non-Seasonal ......

Made this card for a Challenge over on the Crafty Individuals Facebook page where we were asked to make a Christmas Card using non-Christmas stamps ....

I decided to make a card in traditional Christmas colours I used CI - 569 and stamped this in Versafine black ink which was then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. It was trimmed out and then selectively coloured with Copic marker in red and green. I added some Glossy accents to highlight the coloured sections of the image..

I then cut a matt from some red plaid printed paper and spattered it with white pen. A larger mat was cut from some more green printed paper and they were layered. The coloured image was then applied to the plaid matt and grounded with some holly Washi tape.

The sentiment was stamped in Versafine black ink on white card, trimmed out, matted on red and green card and applied as shown.

Finally the completed design was added to a 6 x 6 inch white card blank on foam pads .....

Showers ....

A set of Artist Trading Cards made for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum .....

The theme this month was 'Sunshine & Showers'.

The bases were cut from re-cycled food packaging to 3.5 x 2.5 inches. I then used some printed paper and trimmed this to the same size and applied onto the bases.

I chose some little used stamps from Paper Smooches and stamped the sun in orange Versafine Clair and the clouds in blue Versafine Clair inks on white card. They were then trimmed out. The suns were centered with yellow Stickles glitter glue and edged with yellow Posca pen. The words were stamped in black Versafine and heat embossed with clear embossing powder before trimming out.

The clouds were added direct to the bases and a raindrop stamp stamped several times in more blue Versafine Clair, adding reflections with white Posca pen.

The sentiments were edged in green Versamagic chalk ink and applied direct as shown. The moons were applied on foam pads and the ATC's finished with an edging of more of the Green Versamagic chalk ink....

Elephants .....

Here is a tag made for a monthly swap over on UK Stampers Forum .......

The base is made from re-cycled food packaging. The background was made from ink sprayed watercolour card. The background was added to the card base. and the tag trimmed into shape.

I chose an elephant stamp from Crafty Individuals and stamped this in Versafine black ink which was then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The elephants were trimmed out and separated before colouring with Lyra aquacolour brush pens in orange, maroon and green. The eyes and tusks were coloured white with Posca marker.

I then applied the elephants. The right one direct to the tag and the left one added on foam pads. I grounded them with black Inktense pencil and waterbrush as well as edging the tag with orange Inktense pencil.

I stamped a few outline leaves with a stamp and Versafine Clair green ink at the top and sides. The 'Hello' was stamped in more Versafine Clair green ink on white card. This was trimmed out, matted on black card and dots of white Posca added before sticking in place on the tag.

Finishing touch was to add a copper eyelet with the Crop -a-Dile and tying through with some decorative fibres in a similar colourway along with 3 clear glass cabochons held in place with Glossy Accents .....

LIM Challenge #475 ......

It's that time again for another 'Less Is More' Challenge ....... this time you are Challenged to make a One Layer Card (OLC)

It's important that there are no layers on your card and the design is made directly onto the card. Please ensure you follow the Guidelines on the Blog with your entry.

This is my Design Team card.....

I started with a 4 x 4 inch white card blank. I then chose a circles stencil and used this as a template to draw the outlines of a frame made from circles with a black Micron pen.

These were then coloured with Acrylograph chalk pens in Red, Pink and Green as shown.

To finish the card I chose a 'Thanks' stamp and stamped the word within the hand drawn frame to finish the card .....
