The 'Less Is More' Challenge blog has a call for you to make a card using 'Pink & Gold' ........
Here is my DT card for the Challenge made on a 5 x 5 inch white square card base.
The gold element of the card was made from a scribbly rose die-cut from white card (Sizzix - TH). I used Indigo Blu 'Flitter Glue' to ink up the rose and then applied gold guilding flakes to give the rose a golden hue.
I then stamped and coloured a couple of blossom stamps (Magazine freebies) in pink Versafine Clair ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. They were coloured with Distress Ink washes of Worn Lipstick with a waterbrush. Wondered whether to add some green but decided against this in keeping with the Challenge colours. The blossoms were then trimmed out.
I then cut a 4 x 4 inch matt from white card and used this as the base for the design. I applied the gold rose first as shown and then added the blossoms on foam pads also adding some metallic gold pen to the stamens in the blossoms ......
The sentiment (also a Freebie) was stamped on white card in more pink Versafine Clair and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. This was trimmed out and applied as shown on the matt.
Finally the matt was added onto the card base to finish the card ........
