Sunshine .......

Another Artist Trading Card made to trade .....

The base is re-cycled food packaging cut to 2.5 x 3.5 inches. The background was made on white card using washes of Distress Oxide inks in yellow and blue smooshed with water on a glass matt.

I then chose a bubble wrap stamp and stamped with the same inks as shown.

The bee (Art Specially) was stamped in black Versafine on white card and was heat embossed with clear embossing powder. It was trimmed out and coloured with washes of the same two Oxides.

I then added a rub-on swirl and the printed word backed on green card. The bee was then stuck in place.

The background was added to the base, edged with dark blue chalk ink and corners rounded with a Zutter corner edger to finish  .....

ATC .....

Made an Artist Trading Card for a Challenge over on UK Stampers Forum and to trade .....

The base is thick re-cycled packaging. The background is made from various papers and ink, torn and applied overlapping on white card. This has been stamped with Violet Distress Oxide ink with a spotty stamp from Tim Holtz. Some of the spots were centred with white Posca pen.

I then trimmed a die-cut (Aall & Create) in black to fit and added this as shown, infilling the '9' with white Posca.

The chicken and sentiment (Tim Holtz) were stamped in Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder before trimming out and applying to the card front. 

The card was finished by edging in purple Versamagic chalk ink and adding three metallic gold dots. I used a corner edger to round the corners.

CAS On Friday #251 .....

Once more, time again for a fortnightly Challenge over on the 'CAS on Friday' Challenge blog .....

This time the theme is 'Flowers'

We do hope that you will join us by entering a Clean and Simple card of your own making, following the rules, of course ......

Here is my Design Team card which I hope will inspire you to take part ....

The card is made on a 5 x 5 inch white card blank ....

The stamp is an old wood mounted rose stamp which I have stamped directly onto the card front in Versafine black ink. The image was then coloured with Adirondack red and two shades of green dye inks. They were applied loosely using my finger as an applicator as shown .....

I then used a Dymo with black tape and added '... ARE RED' next to the stamped and coloured image to finish .....

Peaceful ......

An ATC made to trade .....

The base is cut from re-cycled food packaging. The background is a watercolour background made with washes on watercolour card.

I have then collages papers and Washi tape (Aall & Create) before adding some stamping with green leaves (Aall & Create) and circle sewing with black Versafine and green Versafine Clair inks.

I added a framed inchie with a green gem on foam pads. The background was added to the base and the Washi tape word added as shown.

The ATC was edged with amber chalk ink to finish ......

Grace .....

This 5.5 x 3 inch tag was made for a monthly swap over on UK Stampers Forum ......

The background was made with watercolours with plenty of water. It was decorated with a number of stamps inked with Versafine Clair, Brilliance and Versafine inks. The leaves (Aall & Create) at the bottom I coloured with a waterbrush and Distress ink. Some printed vellum numbers were also added. The background was then attached to a base made from re-cycled food packaging.

The flower image was stamped in Distress inks on white card with a homemade foam stamp made from fun foam and a Tim Holtz wild flower die, trimmed out and added as shown. It was edged with a shadow added with Distress aged mahogany applied with a waterbrush. A couple of gold vellum leaves were added also.

The words are made of Washi Tape (Aall & Create) on white card, they were trimmed out and edged with black before applying as shown. The whole tag was edged with maroon chalk ink.

An eyelet was added at the top with the crop-a-dile and tied through with some decorative chiffon ribbon to finish .....

Blues ......

A set of 3 Artist Trading Coins made for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum ......

The bases were die-cut from re-cycled food packaging. The backgrounds were made from a watercolour masterboard and were die-cut into 2.5 inch diameter pieces. Each was stamped with a swirl stamp and a round design stamp in Versafine black ink. Some added colour was achieved with Posca pens and gold watercolour. 

I then added some red Beadazzles on Glossy Accents and a torn strip of AAll & Create Washi tape added the words to each.

The backgrounds were added to the bases and each was edged with Krylon gold pen to finish ....

Love.....

A set of Artist Trading Cards made for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum in the theme of 'Love' .....

The bases were cut to 2.5 x 3.5 inches from re-cycled food packaging. The background was made on white card with acrylic paints applied with a brayer and was trimmed to the same size.

I then chose some stamps (IndigoBlu) and stamped the squiggly squares in Versafine black ink overlapping some. These were then coloured with Distress Inks and a water brush. Some metallic gold watercolour was added to selected squares and the intersections coloured with a white Posca pen.

The words were stamped in pink Versafine Clair ink and were heat embossed with clear embossing powder and a sparkly red rose gem added to each as shown.

The backgrounds were then added to the bases and each ATC was edged with Brilliance Poppy/gold ink to finish .....

Star .....

A set of Inchies made for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum ......

The bases were punched to 1 x 1 inch from re-cycled packaging. I then punched six more squares from a background made on black card with a mauve mica spray.

I then stamped a star in Brilliance mauve and then Brilliance red onto these. They were then applied to the bases and each was edged with a gold Krylon pen.

The Inchies were finished with a centrally placed purple adhesive gem ...... they are quite sparkly but difficult to photograph !

CAS On Friday #250 .....

Well another fortnight has slipped by and it's time again to make a card for the CAS On Friday Challenge whose theme this time is 'Ink Splatter' ....

We do hope you will join us with a Clean And Simple card in the theme ..... following the rules, of course !

This is my Design Team card for the Challenge ......

The card is a 6 x 6 inch Kraft card base. I then die-cut a stitched-edge circle from white card and applied to the centre of the card front.

I then selected an Ink Splat die (Sizzix - Tim Holtz) and cut three splats from mauve, red and yellow cards, applying some Stickles glitter glue in the same colours as shown. I also applied a clear glass cabochon to each of the splats. Two splats were added directly to the cards and the third raised on foam pads.

I then stamped the sentiment in Versafine black ink which was heat embossed with clear embossing powder before trimming out, edging with black ink and applying as shown on foam pads to finish !

Hearts ......

Here are a set of Twinchies (2 x 2 inch squares) made for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum in the colour theme of 'Red, Pink & Black' ......

The bases are made from re-cycled food packaging cut to size. I have then cut more squares from white card. Each has been stamped with Versafine black ink using an old cover stamp from the now defunct Craft Stamper mag. Each was then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. It was coloured with a wash of worn lipstick Distress Ink whilst the surround was coloured with a wash of barn door Distress Ink.

Red spots were added with a Posca pen and centred with a dot of black. I then added a couple of red adhesive gems over the flowers.

Each Twinchie was then finished by edging in more red Posca pen ......
