A set of Artist Trading Coins made for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum .....
The bases were die-cut to 2.5 inches in diameter from re-cycled food packaging. I then chose some chequered printed paper and die-cut this in the same way to fit the bases.
I then stamped a bird silhouette stamp centrally in black Versafine ink. The birds were treated to a coat of Glossy Accents to add depth.
I then used violet, red and plum Archival inks and a variety of background stamps to add some design & colour to the backgrounds. I then added some half flowers to decorate and three pink self-adhesive gems to each Coin. They were finished by edging with Versamagic chalk ink in Violet ....

These are so beautiful. What a great idea for a swap. I love that you used recycled food packaging for the bases; it's so clever and resourceful. The birds are so striking, and the Glossy Accents must really make them pop and add a lot of dimension. The colors you chose for the background work so well together.
