Made a set of ATC's for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum Facebook Group ....
The theme was Pointy Hats & Crowns so I choose to go the 'Pointy Hats' route ....
The base cards were made from cereal boxes cut to 2.5 x 3.5 inches. The background was first stamped with a stamp from PaperArtsy in Versamark ink after using an anti-static bag and then heat embossed with white pearl embossing powder to act as a resist to the subsequent layer of Distress inks applied with cut'n'dry foam. A little splash of water and dabbing with a dry tissue removed some of the colour in a random manner. I then wiped off excess ink from the stamped and embossed image.
I then used a Tim Holtz background stamp to colour in brown Distress Ink as shown.
The face stamp was stamped onto white card in black Memento ink and trimmed out with the edges coloured ink Alcohol ink along with the cheek spots. The hats were made from printed and Brusho coloured backgrounds which were cut into triangles and then mounted on more white card to add a border.
The card edges were then heat embossed with peanut butter embossing powder. The words were printed with a Dymo gun and coloured tapes & applied as shown. Final touches were made with white and black Posca markers.
