I am definately not a fantastic machinist when it comes to sewing, but I wanted to show you an 8 x 8inch Mug Rug I made whilst away with my crafty friends. This is the first time I have used paper piecing to make something and boy did it challenge me !
Worst bit for me was the edging (some of the corners are far from perfect), but I was proud to have achieved it with loads of help from the experts. Thanks girls !
Spurred me on to buy a new Janome sewing machine to add to my crafty things. The old machine will be used solely for paper sewing now.

Hi Sid! I have just been looking at some of your work on your blogs. You certainly have a unique style and are not afraid to try new techniques with your crafting. I really love your Christmas book that you made with the box inside that has all the compartments. I am wondering how you made the box for the inside of the book...is it chipboard?
