Memories ......

Made a card with AAll & Create stamps and dies ........

I made a background with acrylic paints and a Gelli plate and cut a matt from this. I stamped the flowers in Versafine black on paper and coloured the image with watercolours and a waterbrush. All elements were then trimmed out. The flower was again stamped onto the background matt in Versafine black and the fussy cut coloured elements stuck in place over this. I used a Copic marker for the stems and added some gold stamens with a metallic pen.

I then added a couple of stamped images in twisted citron Distress Oxide. I used a die and cut a lime green image and a lilac image collaging trimmed out elements as shown. Some more gold was added to the numbers and some white lines added with white Posca pen.

The word was stamped on blue card and mounted on more lime and blue background.

The background was then matted twice.... firstly on green card and second on pale blue card before adding to a white card blank to finish the card .....

Happy .....

Made a card using a stamped background .......

The background plate was made on a piece of mountboard which I stamped multiple times with a chrysanthemum stamp in a number of colours of Memento inks and a light spray of pearlescent blue spray was applied to add interest. It was edged with Krylon gold pen. This was mounted on some purple printed paper and then black card.

The flowers and leaves were fussy cut from more printed paper with the flower being layered. They were then stuck in place and a purple glossy dot added to the flower centre. Some white Posca pen was added to highlight aspects of them.

The panel was then attached to a 5 x 5 inch white cardblank.

The words were stamped on white card in Versafine black ink, trimmed out and matted on black card being placed as shown on foam pads to finish ......

Circuit .....

Here is a tag I have made using mainly AAll & Create stamps .....

I started by stamping the image onto a Brusho backround and trimmed this out. I then selectively stamped the cards, bulb and words with Versafine black ink.  These were trimmed out, coloured and put aside.

I then cut a base from white card and used a numbers stamp to stamp the main colours on the background with various colours of Versafine Clair inks. I stamped also with a chevron stamp with more black Versafine ink. The tag base was also edged with colours in Versamagic chalk ink. I cut a hole and applied a black eyelet with the crop-a-dile.

The trimmed out piece was then stuck in place on the tag base.I then applied some marks with Posca pens and added a watch glass over some of the electronic circuits. A couple of black brads were added and the card elements were added next with some on foam pads. Some torn Washi tape was added, glossy accents were added to the bulb and a length of gold stretchy twine added through the eyelet and attached with staples to finish......

I then stamped again and trimmed out the lightbulb which was coloured with a Yellow Inktense pencil and waterbrush. A yellow halo on the base was applied similarly around the bulb on the backgroumd.

I added some gold highlights on the bulb and also on the inksplats. Some stamped sewing was added in wilted violet Distress Oxide and Versafine black along with a few strips of torn black and white Washi tape and yellow Posca pen.

The background was matted on black card, the bulb added on foam pads. The background was applied to the card blank and three sequins were added along with the printed words to finish .....

Joker .....

Made a card mainly with AAll & Create stamps......

I used a white square card blank as the base. I then cut a white matt smaller than the blank and made a background using Distress Oxide inks in walnut stain, frayed burlap & vintage photo applied after spraying with water and layering (drying between layers). Once dry I selectively stamped part of the stamp in Versafine black ink.

I then coloured the background with Inktense pencils and a waterbrush adding yellows, reds and orange on the top bulb and birdcage. Some metallic gold was added too. I stamped a couple of screwhead stamps in yellow mustard seed Distress ink. The second bulb was stamped from the main stamp in Archival sepia ink. trimmed out and coloured with Inktense pencils and added on the background as shown.

I then took a mini 'Joker' playing card (inspiration for the colours used on the card). darkened with frayed burlap Distress stain and edged with brown Copic marker. this was then applied as shown on foam pads. I then used a white Posca pen to highlight elements of the background including the playing card. The words (TH) were added and edged with black Inktense pencil and two metal studs added.

I then matted the background twice on yellow and kraft cards to finish the card.....

Judgement .....

Made a vintage Tag for a monthly swap on UK Stampers Forum .....

The base was cut from re-cycled card and another was cut from white cardstock. I then stamped a series of triangles in Distress Ink ( Bundled Sage, Shabby Shutters, Dusty Concord, Milled Lavender) and dried with a heat gun to set. I then overstamped with a numbers stamp in Versafine black ink and also stamped a baseline for the boy to stand on in Sepia Archival Ink.

The tag was then edged with Antique Linen Distress IN applied with a make-up sponge.

The boy ( TH paper Dolls) was then edged in black ink and applied as shown on foam pads. The self adhesive words are also by Tim Holtz and were edged with black Micron pen.

The front was attached to the base and I added a gold eyelet with the Crop-a-dile and tied through with some mauve ribbon to finish the tag.

I would like to enter this into the Daring Cardmakers Challenge whose subject is Picture Perfect

I cut a smaller matt from 300gsm hot press watercolour card. I then made some washes with Distress Oxides and brayered the matt with seedless preserves and peacock feathers allowing to dry before stamping (AAll & Create) in Versafine Clair fallen leaves ink. I also selectively stamped the citrus slice in the same ink onto white card. This was trimmed out and coloured with watercolours and a waterbrush, applying Glossy Accents once dry.

Layers .....

Made a layered floral card ....

I started with a white card blank and die-cut a smaller matt from white card. Onto this I stamped a solid background stamp from a layering set in pale mauve, yellow and blue memento inks to act as a shadow to the flowers.

The flowers were stamped in 3 colour shades of Memento ink to form the layers on each of the flowers which were trimmed out. The leaf was stamped in a similar manner. They were then given a coat of gloss acrylic varnish and allowed to dry.

The flowers and leaf were then arranged on foam pads offsetting to allow the stamped shadows to show.

The sentiment and flourish were then stamped in purple Memento ink. I finished the card by matting the stamped panel onto pale mauve card and applying on more foam pads to the card base.

Wild .....

Here is a card I made using a watercolour background and Inktense colour pencils .....

I started with an A6 white card blank. I then cut a smaller matt from 300gsm Hot Press smooth watercolour card and scribbled directly with the Inktense pencils spraying with water and blending with my finger whilst wet. When happy I allowed to dry completely.

I then used a variety of stamps from AAll & Create & Tim Holtz to colour the background in Distress Oxides and Archival Inks in various colours, adding some star and black brads and edging with various Versafine Ink colours direct from the pad. This panel was then matted on black card and trimmed.

The Flower (AAll & Create) was stamped in Versafine black ink and trimmed out, coloured with watercolours and treated with Glossy Accents. This was applied on foam pads as shown with the stem over the sentiment (AAll & Create) which was stamped in Versafine black ink on white card and matted on black card.

I then retrieved some gold wire (re-cycled from an Italian wine bottle) and applied around the flower.

The matt was then applied to the card blank to finish .....

You .....

I used a 5 x 5 inch white card blank as the base.

I then cut another matt from white card to 4.5 x 4.5 inches. Onto this I used a set of solid floral stamps (PaperArtsy). I stamped the first one in Versamark ink and treated this with blue Perfect Pearls applied with a brush ... not easy to see the pearlescent effect. I then stamped the other florals in deep lagoon Versafine ink and the leaves with verdant Versafine Clair ink.

I then added some green adhesive pearls in the centres of the flowers. The white matt was then matted again on pale green card and applied to the card front.

I then stamped the 'Just for You' sentiment in Versafine black ink on white card, matted this on more pale green card and applied on foam pads as shown.

Quite Clean & Simple really ....

Travel.....

A multi-media card made recently .....

I started with a 5 x 7 inch white card blank..... cutting a smaller matt from white card which I brayered with a mixture of matte acrylic paints in green and blue. Once dry I stamped with a Travel stamp (AAll & Create) in Versafine black ink. I then brayered red & orange matt acrylic paint onto a die-cut circle of more white card and when dry stamped with the same stamp in more Versafine black ink which was heat embossed with clear embossing powder to add a gloss.

I then worked on the background with some triangle stamps and Distress Oxide in ks in green, blue and red as shown. The finished die-cut circle was stuck in place over the corresponding image on the background, and then edged with Inktense pencil and a waterbrush.

I next added some white paint lines with the edge of an old plastic card along with some black Posca pen highlights in the triangles. I then matted the design onto black card to leave a border and adhered to the card blank. The sentiment was stamped in Versafine black ink on white card, adhered to the background and again edged in Inktense pencil to make the words pop. Finally adding a couple of metal tag embellishments.

The design was inspired by Tracy Evans ......

Steps .....

A card made in the round. I started with a 6 x 6 inch white card blank. I then die-cut a circle.

The background was made using a stencil, coloured with Distress Oxides and lightly sprayed with water, applying onto the circle (almost like using the stencil as a stamp). I then dried this with a heat gun.

I stamped some flowers (Dyan Reaveley) and coloured these with gold iridescent ink and Distress Oxides which were then trimmed out. I then used stamps from Tim Holtz, Dina Wakley and AAll & Create to stamp with Distress Oxides in pink and yellow and Archival ink in Sepia, adding some lines with a Posca pen.

The flowers were then applied (2 on foam pads) and the sentiment (AAll & Create) was stamped in Versafine black on white card, trimmed out and adhered to the base. The circle was edged in yellow Chalk ink and then Glossy Accents was added to some elements.

The finished design was then stuck in place on the card blank.....
