Florals .....

Made a watercolour card .... on a 6 x 6 inch white card-blank.....

Would like to enter this into the Simon Says Monday Challenge this week whose theme is 'Play With Paint'

Simple watercolour florals handpainted onto 300gsm hot-pressed watercolour card.

I have simply matted onto black and satin gold cards as a frame. The sentiment was stamped in Versafine black ink onto white card, trimmed and again matted onto black and satin gold.

The watercolour matt was then added to the card blank to finish and the sentiment added on foam pads ....

Dotty .....

Made this card for a Challenge at the Less is More Blog whose Challenge No. 420 is 'Going Dotty' ...

I used a white 5 x 5 inch cardblank as the base. I die-cut a circle from card and used this as a mask through which I applied a number of coloured dots with some round ended markers. Once the mask was removed I stamped the sentiment 'Sending Our Love' in black Versafine ink to finish.

Flamingling .....

Made this card for a Stamplorations 'Theme and Photo' Challenge whose theme is  'Stamps & Tropical' .....

I thought that Flamingos were very tropical so made this card.....

I started with a white 6 x 6 inch white cardblank. I cut a smaller matt in yellow spotty paper and mounted this onto black card to make a border.

The main image (Great Impressions) was stamped on white card in Memento black ink. It was coloured with pink and blue Posca pens. It was edged in blue Versamagic chalk ink and matted on black card. The spotty matt was applied to the card front and the Flamingos mounted off centre on foam pads on the card.

I made a background with Distress Oxides in greens & yellow on white card and die-cut  a number of open leaves from this. The leaves were then arranged as shown and embellished with some pink sequins.

I cut some Washi tape with the words 'Let's Flamingle' and mounted this onto white card applying on foam pads as shown to finish the card.... Ohhh how I long to be on holiday in a Tropical place at the moment ... think I have no choice but to wait though !!!

Face ......

As we are having a 'Use Your Peel-Offs' Challenge on UK Stampers Forum I have made this card again making a background with them.....

I started with a 5 x 5 inch white card blank and cut a smaller matt out of white card. I layered a whole sheet of peel-offs onto this and gave it 3 coats of watered down white Gesso to hide the metallic finish of the peel-offs.

I then stamped a face (Cherry Pie) in Archival black ink onto the background and used some  watercolour brushpens  (Lyra Aquabrush) to colour the lips and eyes. I then chose two shades of pink Versamagic chalk ink and coloured the background and edges with these.

The base matt was layered on pink card and this mounted onto the card blank.  I chose a 'Hello' die and cut this twice in pink and black layering them slightly offset as shown on the panel to finish.

Bee Happy .....

Everyone wants to Be Happy especially at the moment with Lockdown !  Made this card....

I started with a 6 x 6 inch white cardblank. I took a square of watercolour card and stamped this with a bee stamp (Pink Paislee) in Archival black ink. This was coloured with Watercolour brushpens and the wings and body stripes glazed with a Gelly Roll clear glaze pen. I then took a die and die-cut around the bee with a hexagon honeycomb die. I trimmed this to be uneven and coloured with yellow watercolour. Some of the die waste was retrieved and also coloured n orange watercolour.

I  then selected a piece of printed paper  and matted this on blue and beige card. The bee image was mounted on foam pads and the waste pieces applied on the paper underneath the honeycomb.

A few yellow sequins were applied with Glossy Accents and the matts attached to the cardbase to finish.

Sewn .....

This CAS card was made as my entry into the 'Less Is More' Challenge #416 which is a one-layer card with no sentiment ......

I used a 5 x 5 inch white card blank and scored some cross lines with the score board. I then stamped the sewn flower centrally in the central square in Versafine black ink. This was coloured with Distress Inks and a waterbrush directly onto the image. Some white highlights was added with a white Posca pen.

A very simple card but quite effective ......

Red, Raspberry & Grey......

Wanted to enter the latest Challenge from Less Is More which is to make a Clean & Simple card with Red, Raspberry & Grey.

I used a 5 x 5 inch white card blank as the base. I then die-cut a 3.5 inch square with a stitched edge die which was cut diagonally on the guillotine. This triangle was decorated with a mini flower stamp in all three challenge colours to produce a mass of stamped flowers. I used dots of Stickles glitter glue to highlight the centres of the flowers.

The decorated panel was mounted as shown on foam pads onto the card base.

I then stamped 'You are pretty amazing' as shown in Versafine Black Ink to finish.

Opposites .....

Here is a simple 'opposites' card design made for a 'Just One Stamp' Challenge over on UK Stampers Forum. There are 12 crafters in a group and they post their stamp to each of the members .... make something using the stamp and then send on.

Great to see each persons crafty interpretation using their stamp.

I used turquoise and dark pink card 50/50 for the background, die-cut a frame from Kraft card, backed the frame in black card and mounted the coloured panel over the frame with foam pads.

The flowers were stamped in Archival black ink onto the same coloured card, trimmed out and mounted on more foam pads as shown. The flowers were highlighted with gold pen and the sentiment stamped in Versafine black ink.
