Just finished a crochet cactus project contained in a real terracotta pot.
The main cactus was made as one piece in two colours of cotton DK yarn and sewn together before being stuffed firmly with polyester fibres. The flower and its centre were then made and sewn together.
The soil was crocheted using amigurumi methodology and also firmly stuffed. All components were then assembled to produce the Cactus.
Beauty is it has no prickles, needs no care and can be used as a pin cushion !

A great wee crochet project Sid - When I can I use wool rovings to stuff a pincushion - helps keep the pins from going rusty, and stay sharp.
