Trees ......

One of those cards we never like to make ......

I made a watercolour background on watercolour card in greens & yellows. once dry it was trimmed and stamped directly with Versafine black ink with a treescape stamp (Crafty Individuals). This was heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

The sentiment was stamped in the same ink without the embossing and the card was matted onto metallic gold and dark green cards before applying to a 6 x 4 inch white card blank ....

Simple but subtle I think ....

Crescent .....

A beautiful handcrafted pendant with matching ear-stud set made from pearlescent resin .....

The pendant is framed in a gold bezel and comes complete with an 18 inch gold chain with a lobster claw clasp.

Special .....

Made this little 4 x 4 inch card for someone special .....

I cut a smaller matt from white card and applied some structure paste through a stencil with a palette knife. Whilst the paste was wet I applied 3 colours of mica embossing powders before heating with a heat gun to melt the powder. This was then applied to a smaller pale mauve matt.

The leaf was die-cut from magenta metallic plastic and applied over the background embossing. The sentiment was stamped in Versafine black ink, trimmed and matted on more of the mauve card before adding to the front. The layers were then added to the card front to finish .....

LIM Challenge #465 .....

Well it's time for another fortnighly Challenge from us here at 'Less Is More' ....

This week we would like you to use rainbow colours in a CAS card of your making .... please ensure you follow the Guidelines to be in with a chance to be Showcased ......

This is my Design Team card .....

 I not only used Rainbow Colours but also a stylised rainbow in my card !

The card base is a 5 x 5 inch white card blank. I have then die-cut a stitched edge square from white card and applied onto the card base.

The rainbow (Stampin' Up) was die-cut from Red flock, Yellow, Blue & Violet cardstocks. The blue band was also treated with blue/gold Stickles glitter glue.

All bands of the rainbow were applied as shown on foam pads. The clouds were also die-cut from textured pale blue card with one on foam pads.

The Sentiment (Stampin' Up) was stamped on white card with Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. This was trimmed out, matted on black card and applied as shown to the die-cut panel ......

Sweet .....

Made a set of Artist Trading Cards for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum in the theme of 'Sweet Things' ....

I cut the bases from re-cycled food packaging to 2.5 x 3.5 inches. I then chose some check printed paper and applied to the card bases. to mimic a tablecloth .....

I then stamped the dish with ice cream and cherries in Versafine black on white card. The Cherries were coloured with a red Posca pen and the ice cream with a wash of pink Distress Ink. I then added some metallic chrome on the dish. The cherries were then treated with Glossy Accents. They were trimmed out and applied to the cards as shown.

The word 'SWEET' was printed onto some pastel pink tape, trimmed and applied. The words were edged in black Posca to highlight.

Each card was edged with Versamagic chalk ink to finish .....

Say ....

A simple card made on a 4 x 4 inch brown Kraft card base ....

I cut a white matt and stamped the fairy (Lindsey Mason)  in black Versafine ink which was then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. This was matted on black and pale lilac cards to frame.

The flower was painted in Watercolours on watercolour card, dried and trimmed out. The wildflower stalk (Tim Holtz - Sizzix) was die-cut from black card.

The base matt was applied to the card and the die-cut added and this was overlaid with the flower on foam pads. The sentiment was stamped in black Versafine ink, trimmed and matted on more black card. This was added on more foam pads as shown with a small amount of Stickles glitter glue to highlight ....... to finish .....

Tree .....

Made a small card ....

The card base is white card cut to 4 x 4 inches. I then made a base from watercolour card and lot's of water and paints, allowing it to dry. It was then matted on mid brown card.

The tree was then die-cut from more coloured watercolour paper.

The sentiment was stamped in black Versafine ink, die-cut and matted on more of the mid-brown card.

The matted background was stuck onto the card front and the tree added over this. The sentiment was added on foam pads to finish.

Simple but effective ......

Grown .....

Made a tag for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum ....

The base is re-cycled food packaging and it is covered in a Gelli print made with acrylic paints and stencils. I have then used a numbers stamp (Aall & Create) along with coffee Archival ink to add some background detail. I have also added some white and black accents and lines with white and black Posca pens.

The die-cut flowers (Tim Holtz) were added onto the tag and it was edged with white Gesso.

I then added a shrink plastic butterfly and the words were stamped and added as shown. I finished the tag with a lime green gros-grain ribbon .....
