We are running a Challenge on UK Stampers Forum until 5th April ..... we are to make an altered Fish/Mint Tin for the chance of winning some fab stamps from 'That's Crafty' ....
I used an empty sardine can which was washed thoroughly, dried and coated with a couple of coats of white gesso to prepare.
I used a set of Papertrey Ink stamps featuring a theme of 'Buttons' and stamped the button card, words and buttons in Versafine black and Versafine Clair colours. I trimmed out all elements and drew in threads on the buttons, applying Glossy Accents to a couple of the buttons.
The button card was embellished with buttons stuck in place with more Glossy Accents.
I lined the inside edge of the tin with Washi tape and cut a panel to fit the inside base from pink spotty paper.... sticking this in place. The outside of the tin was covered in two pieces of Washi tape and the rim coloured with Gold Krylon pen.
The tin was then decorated with the button card on foam pads, a mini pink satin ribbon, some card-candi, the front word panel (with the addition of pink Posca pen) and a number of the stamped buttons. The inside lip of the tin was decorated with more dots of pink Posc pen and fruit punch Stickles Glitter glue.
