Piled up !

Been taking pics of little piles of stuff scattered in various places in the craftroom (otherwise known as 'The Cave').  This entry is for Julias 'WOYWW 63' over on 'The Stamping Ground' Blog.

First shows a few of my folders of unmounted stamps, I use laminated A4 sheets as a base and EZ mount/Cling-on them for acrylic blocks.

Here's a pile of Sizzix dies and some of the more familiar Tim Holtz alterations.  Nowhere else to store them at the moment.  They do look a bit unstable....don't they?

Final pile is of my Sizzix alpha die sets, next to skeins of silk sari ribbon and cord.

When I look there are actually piles of stuff everywhere, quite alarming really.  There you have it.  Will visit yours over the next few days.

Sid xx

How do you index the stamps - or do you just flick through them?

  8. LOL! I, too, and a "pile-er" And, like yours, they often appear to be on the verge of toppling over. But until I win the lottery and can build my custom made studio with perfect storage, it will have to do!

  11. Thanks for sharing your piles of stash - looks great to me, lol, but that's a bit worrying cos that's how I am, too!!!!! Do you have trouble with the EZ mounted stamps falling off the acetate cos I do and no matter what I do to 'em they still keep falling off?! I have a lot on velcro, still from when I used the Velcro system and they stay in place perfectly. Really frustrates me. Would love a rummage in your stash - how far away do you live??? Happy WOYWW, Sid!

  19. I'm really late to the party today. My internet stopped working at the wrong time. You have more stamps than I will ever even see in my lifetime, much less own. And that sari ribbon is so colorful. I agree that the amount of stash you have is alarming, but a very good thing. Happy WOYWW.

  54. I does look a bit unstable... So, how long does it take you to find a specific unmounted stamp? My unmounted stamps (not even half as many as yours) are in a binder, too, and at the moment I pretty much know where everything is, but for how much longer...?

    ReplyDelete
  55. I don't think I would even dare breathe in your craft room lest everything fall over and collapse! Very impressive!

  63. I think the worst thing about WOYWW is that through the lens, it looks like you have more and it's not in the right place....but that's not true really! I love seeing your files full of stamps...I think it's the only answer for storage...am working on mine.
