12 Days of............Day 6
This is my entry for week six of the '12 Days of' Challenge being run over on UK Stampers Forum. This one depicts 6 Geese a-laying ! Not sure whether these little birds qualify as Geese but they are there anyway.
The base card is a piece of 4 x 4 inch white cardstock.
The background of checkered printed paper was applied and trimmed and was then stamped at the top with scruffy numbers & letters mini text stamp from PaperArtsy using lavender Impress dye ink. The birdies are from a set of clear stamps by Basic Grey and I have stamped the birds in Versamark onto mid green printed paper and heat embossed with seafoam white embossing powder. I did two strips of three birds and trimmed as shown and applied with glue stick, top and bottom of the 4 x 4 plate. A little bird footprint stamp (Basic Grey) was stamped in black archival ink onto these once in place.
Next I used an egg stamp (PaperArtsy) and stamped this 6 times on pale blue card with Versamark and heat embossed with blue glass embossing powder. Once cool I trimmed out the eggs and coloured with a water brush and Caran D'ache soluble wax crayons in lime green and mid blue. They were layered onto a large foam pad in the form of a flower and applied as shown.
The number 6 was made from chipboard and I coloured this brown and distressed it with sandpaper before swiping with a maroon chalk ink pad and applying with Glossy Accents as shown.
The edges of the plate were also coloured with the same chalk ink to finish.

Brilliant Sid. Love your idea for the flower made from birds eggs.
