Alice Day .....

Made this Artist trading Coin which is 2.5 inches in diameter as an entry into the 'Alice Day' Challenge running until 5th July over on UK Stampers Forum .... the idea originated from Jannet Blay who is a great 'Alice in Wonderland' fan. If you would like to join in the Challenge click HERE to go to the Forum ... it's free, fun & friendly.  All you have to do to enter is make something with stamping, take a photo and upload to an Album.  The winner will be randomly chosen (so no judging), and will win a fabulous 'Alice' prize kindly donated by Jannet !

I made the background from some tissue paper which came from Jannet and applied this to a die-cut circle made from re-cycled cereal packaging.  I used a brush and acrylic matte medium to apply the tissue.

Once completely dry I directly stamped the Hatter and coloured him with alcohol ink pens and Posca markers. The pocket watch was stamped directly but I also stamped again on white card and trimmed out the numerals which were stuck in place over the stamped image on the coin. Some silver pen dots were added. I then stamped the 'Alice' word in Archival black ink and embellished with three matte metallic heart brads.

I backed the coin with two more layers of packaging and edged with red chalk ink to finish.

Beautiful .....

Made a mailart postcard for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum .....

I made a background from watercolour card treated with Brushos in Orange & Yellow, applied with a brush in layers with some spattering.  I have then applied leaf veins in white gesso though a stencil.

I used a set of retro flower stamps and Archival black ink as shown and the word 'Beautiful' in the same ink.

I have used black & gold pens to add a border and some highlighting.  The card was backed with a layer of re-cycled board for strength and sprayed with matte acrylic sealer to protect in the post !

Pink & black .....

I have used a swapped stamp to be the centre of this pink and black folding boxcard over on UK Stampers Forum ...

I wanted to just keep to pink, white & black as the main colourway for this boxcard.

The main image was stamped in Memento ink and selectively coloured in rose pink Copic marker on white card before trimming out.  I applied some Stickles glitter glue to the wings. The box was die-cit and assembled as were the balloon, star & streamer along with the Celebrate sentiment.

I covered the bottom panels of the box in black & white circle print papers.

Some black and iridescent pink sequins were added to finish ....

The little girls dress is paper pieced with blue gingham paper and treated with Stickles glitter glue. Both this and the sentiment were applied to the tag (the sentiment on foam pads) Some shadowing was added around the image with black Micron pen.

The tag has been edged in metallic brush pen and Posca marker.

A hole with an eyelet was made with the crop-a-dile and this was threaded through with some purple and yellow sari silk to finish.

Pearly squares ....

A set of Inchies made for a swap in UK Stampers Forum ....

I punched out the 1 x 1 inch bases from recycled board from cartons and then chose some mushroom fleck card and stamped a flower stamp in Versamark ink which I heat embossed with opal pearl embossing powder.  I then selectively punched out 1 x 1 inch squares from this background and applied to the bases.

I applied a fine stripe of redline adhesive tape to each and sprinkled with Beadazzles to decorate. A thin strip of black paper lace was then applied next to this as shown.

I coloured some adhesive pearls with grey Copics to match and applied as shown.  Each Inchie was then edged in brown Versamagic Chalk ink to finish.

Leafy Bough .....

Made this mailart postcard for a monthly swap over on UK Stampers Forum  ....

Started with a white 6 x 4 inch piece of card and created a background with Brushos & Distress Oxide ink.  Applied a strip of green Washi Tape as shown.

The die-cut tree panel was stamped in yellow, green & brown Impress dye inks with some additional gold pen and green Posca.  The panel was edged in yellow ink and applied as shown.

The punched butterflies were made from an acrylic painted background and were embellished with Posca pen and applied as shown.  The sentiment was stamped in black Versafine ink and edged with Posca and reads 'Keep a green bough in your heart and perhaps a singing bird will come'  The whole postcard was edged in yellow ink and a fine squiggly line was applied around its perimeter to finish.

This will travel 'naked' through the postal system so I gave it a spray coat of Acrylic matt sealer to protect.
