Treasured Memories ......

This handmade card was made after being inspired by a design by Paula Whittaker !

I took a 5 x 7 inch white card blank as the base and used it as a topfold design.  The main panel was made on watercolour card which was coloured with inks made from Brusho powders.  I used a brush and drying techniques to make a pleasing panel in yellow & grey.

I then chose some contemporary seedhead stamps and inked them with london fog Memento dye ink. Some were second generation stamped to add a little depth.

The main sentiment was stamped in Archival black ink.  The panel was edged in london fog ink before applying to the card as shown. It could be used as a condolence card also !

Sing Spring .....

Made this one-layer card to meet the challenge over on the Less Is More Challenge Blog whose current theme is 'Stencils'

Not joined in the LIM Challenge for ages so decided to give it a go ! After the rotten unseasonal weather we have had recently here in the UK I am longing for Spring to show itself every day .......

I used a 15 x 15 cm square white card blank as the base. I then used a chevron stencil and inked through using a brush applicator with various Spring colours for which I used Impress inks.

The sentiment (PinkPaislee) was stamped in Archival black ink to finish - but you really don't want to hear me sing !

Beary Balloons .....

Made a cute bear Birthday Card .....

I started with a white 5 x 5 inch card blank and layered a square with a circular die-cut layer of white card.  Into the aperture I then applied some balloons printed paper.

The bear with a balloon & gift was stamped in Memento black ink and die-cut and coloured with Copic markers.  It was applied on foam pads.

The sentiment was stamped in Archival black ink on white card, trimmed out and applied as shown on more foam pads.

Presently Bear ....

How a bout a 'Surprise' Birthday Card .......?

The card started as a 5 x 7 inch white card blank. onto this was adhered a pale green matt followed by a smaller matt of white card.

This layer is decorated with some Pistachio Distress Oxide ink applied on a foam pad and splashed with water.  Onto this are three hand-coloured presents with green/gold spotty ribbons.  The central one contains a cute little bear peeking out of the box with the lid balanced on his head and is raised on foam pads.

There are some green sequins to decorate and the sentiment, in Archival black ink, reads SURPRISE'.

Beary Birthday .....

Made a cute bear Birthday card .....

I started with a 5 x 5 inch white card blank.  I then stamped a number of designs in Memento black ink onto white card.  These were then die-cut and were coloured with Copic markers as shown.

The elements were layered at various levels on foam pads.  The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink on black card and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  The banner was trimmed to size and applied as shown.  Three coloured gems were added to highlight the balloons !

Monster Birthday .....

Kids love alien monsters !!!  I made this Birthday card with  kids in mind !

I started with a white square card blank and die-cut a smaller white matt. Into this I diecut a shaped aperture.  Into this I applied a Brusho background to represent the sky.  I drew and coloured a mountain range centrally on the background and placed three brightly hand-coloured alien monsters on foam pads.  They have glittery eyes !  A planet was also put in the background sky.  I drew some white dots and silver stars into the sky.

The hand-stamped sentiment reads 'Have a Monster Birthday' and was stamped in Archival black and matted on the same blue background.

Cute & monstrous too !!

Winging it .....

We have a new monthly Challenge over on UK Stampers Forum Facebook Group !  It's to make a Gothic Arch in a Theme.  This months theme is 'Things With Wings' .....

I did a collage using a variety of materials.  Printed papers from Websters Pages, diecut butterflies on a Distress Oxide background, Stamped images with Archival Ink, punched flowers & borders, adhesive gems & brads, printed alphas, Washi tape, gold pen & Posca markers .... all on an arched shaped base .....

Spring Square .....

Spring is supposedly on it's way so I wanted to use bright, sunny & uplifting colours in my creation

I made a 4 x 4 inch decorated square made for a monthly swap over on UK Stampers Forum Facebook Group.

I have used printed papers, stamps (PaperArtsy), Distress inks, Archival inks, Versamagic Chalk ink & Washi tape to make a collage in spring colours.

I used a piece of recycled food box card as the base to try and upcycle ......

Cloudy Bunnies ......

Made an Easter Bunnies folding Boxcard ....

The box was made out of blue card which was diecut and decorated with printed paper panels with stripes and bunting.

The bunnies were stamped, die-cut and coloured with Copic markers along with the clouds which were glittered with Stickles glitter glue.

The 3D box was filled with the bunnies and the clouds mounted on acetate so they seem to float. I used some pink self-adhesive pearls to decorate and the fun hand-stamped sentiment reads ' Hoppy Easter'

Jammy PC .......

Made a mailart postcard for a swap over on UK Stampers Forum .....

The background was made with Distress Oxides on glossy card with some swirls added once the background had developed.

I then used a flower background stamp (Hero Arts) and stamped a few times with Versamagic Chalk inks.  These were then overstamped in Archival black ink with a flower outline stamp (Hampton Arts), some were also stamped in Versamagic. Some flower centres were filled with a Sakura moonlight pen.

The sentiment (PaperArtsy) was stamped as shown in more Archival black ink and the card edged in mauve Versamagic ink.

It was sprayed with a coat of matt acrylic spray to protect on its way through the post (it travels naked).

Chocolate Chips ....

Made a set of ATC's for a swap on UK Stampers Forum Facebook Group ....

I made three different backgrounds with brusho on watercolour paper.  These were trimmed to 2.5 x 3.5 inches.  I then selected a set of stamps from PaperArtsy and stamped multiple times in Archival, Memento & Versafine inks.

I then stamped the flower (Dovecraft) in Versamark ink and heat embossed with various metallic embossing powders.  This was trimmed out and applied as shown.

The watercolour bases were adhered to white card for strength, edged in Versamagic chalk inks and the flowers glued in place as shown.

Tiled Inchies .....

Made a set of Inchies for  monthly swap over on UK Stampers Forum Facebook Group .....

I started with an acrylic painted base and overstamped each with a petals stamp with Versamark Ink and heat embossed each with a different embossing powder.

I used some watercolour markers to augment the backgrounds and added a ceramic mosaic tile to each adhered with Glossy Accents.  The finished Inchies were edged in various colours of Versamagic chalk ink to finish.

World Traveller ......

This tag was made for a monthly Swap over on the UK Stampers Forum Facebook Group .....

I started with a manilla tag and used Distress inks to make a background.  I used mainly blue inks applied to a glass mat and sprayed with water.  I built up some layers (drying in between with a heat tool) and then applied more water drops until happy.

I then stamped an image in Archival black ink as shown.  I sprayed with a gold mica spray leaving some larger pools of spray to dry.  I used a black decorative rub-on at the top right.

The butterfly was die-cut, painted with turquoise metallic paint, decorated with gold Stickles Glitter Glue, and applied on a glue dot leaving the wings free. I then added an gold metal plate centrally with the words 'Travel The World'. The tag was edged in blue Versamagic chalk ink.

Finally I added a piece of gold woven ribbon held in place with a staple.

Eclipsing Easter .....

Made an Easter Eclipse card using a Brusho on watercolour paper background, stamping and die-cuts.

Easter Cross .....

With Easter on its way soon I have made a more religious card depicting the true nature of the Easter festival.

I started with a 15 x 15 cm square whte card blank.  I cut a vibrant violet matt and applied this leaving a white border.  I then die-cut a smaller white card layer and stamped this with Tim Holtz swirl in grey Memento ink before die-cutting the cross (Spellbinders).  The white layer was applied directly on the violet base and the cross applied over the aperture on foam pads.  This allows the violet to show through the lattice on the cross in a subtle way.

The sentiment (Papertrey Ink) was stamped directly in Memento purple ink as shown to finish.

Harey Easter .....

Made a new Easter card featuring a purple hare ....

I started with a white card base and applied a mauve die-cut panel to this.  I then covered some card in a pretty floral paper and die-cut a frame from it.

The frame was applied on foam pads for relief.  I then stamped a hare (Crafty Individuals) in Memento black ink and coloured this with Copic markers in shades of purple, adding some gold penwork to highlight.

I also die-cut 3 mini flowers in the same floral paper.  I then added some mauve adhesive pearls and a sentiment panel stamped (Papertrey Ink) in Archival black ink which reads 'Easter Wishes' to finish.

Butterflies .....

Made a postcard for the Monthly postcard Swap over on UK Stampers Forum Facebook Group !

Used a Brusho background on watercolour paper as the base and stamped this with layered butterfly stamps in Memento Inks.  The sentiment was stamped in more purple Memento Ink along with some reeds at the bottom. Some gold pen was applied to highlight the butterflies and sentiment.

The whole layer was attached to more white cardstock and edged with purple Versamagic Chalk Ink.  The card was sprayed with matt acrylic sealant to protect as it travels 'naked' through the postal system.
