Iridescent Moths ....

This tag was made for a monthly swap over on UK Stampers Forum Facebook Group ......

I cut the tag from white cardstock and coloured with Distress inks applied on cut'n'dry foam.  The swirls were stamped in dark brown.

I have used other stamps to apply various Brilliance pearlescent inks along with the text.

The moths were stamped in archival black ink on the tag and I then made some film from fusing Angelina fibres between two layers of non-stick sheet, ironing to fuse them.  Once cool I have re-stamped the moths in more Brilliance inks before trimming out just the wings and applying over the original images on the tag.

The tag has been edged in brown Distress ink and a green eyelet applied with the Crop-o-Dile and tied through with some rust and green fibres to finish.

If you fancy joining in the swap click HERE to join the forum .... it's free and fun !

  1. Fantastic tag Sid! Those moths look amazing, not heard of the fibres you mentioned but it is certainly an effective looking technique, Cathy x
