Love is in the air ............. we hope !! I used a cream card blank as the base. Then got to work stamping four contemporary hearts using Chocolate Baroque stamps. I used Memento tuxedo black so that I could use alcohol inks to colour some of the design in red. Memento just does not bleed with alcohol inks and I prefer it to Archival.
The hearts were stamped on white card and cut out before colouring. I also used a gold Posca marker to infill some of the areas. Some spaces were left white too. The sentiment (also from Chocolate Baroque) was stamped on white card
with Versamark ink and heat embossed with detail gold embossing powder.
The sentiment plate was coloured round the edge with the same red AI
The hearts were mounted as shown with the top edges held in place with foam pads which also trapped a fine piece of red gosgrain ribbon entwined round the hearts.
The sentiment plate was placed on foam pads over a strip of red Washi tape to finish.
