Autumn Colours Tag

Another tag in the 'Rolling Recipe' series run over on UK Stampers has a recipe this week of the following:

1. Paint
2. Leaf (used as a stencil)
3. Doodling

The base tag was cut from plain white card.  This was then painted with Dylusions acrylic paints in yellow, orange and green, mixing the colours on the card with the brush as the paint was applied.  Some thicker layers of paint were left too.

Once dry, 3 clear acrylic leaf stamps from My Minds Eye - Wild Asparagus were inked in Brilliance coffee bean, sunflower yellow and pearlescent ivy and stamped around the edges of the tag.

The four leaves down the right hand side were stencilled through a punched out leaf from Personal Impressions with Coffee bean Brilliance.  I then used Sakura Souffle pens to outline these leaves, add letters and also doodle around the edges of the tag etc.

The central leaf garland was made from Sizzix die-cuts of leaves which were cut out from green card and coloured with a selection of the inks previously used.  These were inked with Versamark and heat embossed with clear UTEE before applying as shown with some raised on foam pads.

Finishing touches were to apply a green flower eyelet with the crop-a-dile and tie it through with some green grosgrain ribbon.
