12 Days of............Day 6

This is my entry for week six of the '12 Days of' Challenge being run over on UK Stampers Forum. This one depicts 6 Geese a-laying ! Not sure whether these little birds qualify as Geese but they are there anyway.

The base card is a piece of 4 x 4 inch white cardstock.

The background of checkered printed paper was applied and trimmed and was then stamped at the top with scruffy numbers & letters mini text stamp from PaperArtsy using lavender Impress dye ink. The birdies are from a set of clear stamps by Basic Grey and I have stamped the birds in Versamark onto mid green printed paper and heat embossed with seafoam white embossing powder. I did two strips of three birds and trimmed as shown and applied with glue stick, top and bottom of the 4 x 4 plate. A little bird footprint stamp (Basic Grey) was stamped in black archival ink onto these once in place.

Next I used an egg stamp (PaperArtsy) and stamped this 6 times on pale blue card with Versamark and heat embossed with blue glass embossing powder. Once cool I trimmed out the eggs and coloured with a water brush and Caran D'ache soluble wax crayons in lime green and mid blue. They were layered onto a large foam pad in the form of a flower and applied as shown.

The number 6 was made from chipboard and I coloured this brown and distressed it with sandpaper before swiping with a maroon chalk ink pad and applying with Glossy Accents as shown.

The edges of the plate were also coloured with the same chalk ink to finish.

12 Days of............Day 5

Here is my next entry for the 12 Days of............ Challenge ! This one is representing Day 5 (5 Gold Rings).

I actually had a gold ring (not real gold , of course !) which I wanted to include on the 4 x 4 inch square. I used a background of printed paper which was stamped with a Purple Onion stamp and emerald Impress Dye ink. I then used a text stamp (Purple Onion) and stamped this top right with autumn leaves Impress ink.

Next I stamped a swirly arch stamp (Purple Onion) several times in a line on the same background paper with black Stazon ink and cut this out, swiping with ultramarine Impress ink before applying with glue stick down the right hand side. This was trimmed to fit. Another Purple Onion stamp was used to add the spikey bits on the top left in Brilliance cosmic copper.

Next a metallic bronze No. 5 numeral was stamped over with the text stamp and black Stazon and stuck into place with Glossy Accents. The x ( See D's alphas) was stamped on blue card with Versamark and heat embossed with terracotta embossing powder. This was cut out and applied as shown.

Next the gold ring was applied as shown with Glossy Accents and surrounded by printed letters to spell 'Rings'. The whole card was edged with iris chalk ink and small amounts of frosted lace and crystal Stickles added to finish.

All buttoned up !

These twinchies were made on the theme of buttons. In each one I have used a different background embellished with Stazon stamped buttons in the colourway. The silver buttons have not been stamped and I used a PaperArtsy stamp on the monochrome version. The brown one uses bold splashes of alcohol ink.

Feeling a little Distressed?

No I'm not but these three are!

Here are three ATC's done as a swap on the theme of distress. Various techniques have been used and a range of inks, sprays, embossing and crackle paint used to create them. A stamped fabric flower, brad, metal corner and button are the embellishments used.

12 Days of............Day 4

Here is the next entry in the 12 Days of series. This one is Day 4 and represents 'Four Calling Birds'.

I couldn't resist doing this take on the theme and took an image of a girl on the telephone and cloned it several times and printed out on gloss photo paper to passport size, colouring in her blouse with coloured Sharpie markers. The images were cut out and stuck in place on the background.

The background was a 4 x 4 inch plain white card stamped numerous times with a number plate from PaperArtsy with Versamagic inks in oasis green, aegean blue & spring pansy. The plate was then embossed with a block embossing plate through the Sizzix Big Shot and the embossing picked out by rubbing over with the spring pansy pad again to highlight the texture.

One of the stamped number 4's was edged in black Sharpie and white dots added with a white pigment Signo pen. All the pics were edged in the same ink. The letters are self adhesive and some were coloured with a blue sharpie.

The plate was finished with edging using the purple hydrangea Versamagic pad.
Hoping it pleases you.

12 Days of............Day 3

Well this is the third 4 x 4 inch plate done on the theme of 12 Days of Christmas. Day three represents '3 French Hens'. Will a parrot do? At least the words are French on the background.

I have used printed background paper and only one stamp on this piece.

The french script background paper was adhered to the base card and the left hand side was swiped with Impress peony purple inkpad. I then punched out two circles in another printed paper and two stars in the same french script paper. The circles were swiped with the Impress inkpad and edged in iris Colorbox chalk ink. The stars were edged with the same chalk ink. These were applied with glue stick as shown overlapping the edges of the card and trimmed to fit.

I then stamped a PaperArtsy stamp in black Stazon onto the patterned paper and cut this out and applied the image as shown.

The letters and number 3 are stickers picked out with a pink Sharpie pen and applied as shown and the whole plate edged in the iris chalk ink to finish.

That's about it and hope you like it !
